Wow. My question though is what do they actually use to do the pre-approval? Is it from when the I-130 is done or when the DS260 is sent in? Are you sure it isn't that everyone is already pre-approved unless they find something really bad that they would turn the decision over? The only reason I ask is because my wife and I didn't send in pictures and convo history at DS260 stage. We asked our lawyer if he needed it at that stage he didn't take them. Said I should bring it to the interview. This is my only intimidating factor.

It's like this I tell people. Your casefile goes before you ad in the hands of the embassy a month or so before you ever even show up. What do you want in that CO's hands to make a decision.

Sending extra evidence at NVC isn't compulsory. It's called side-loading. many use it like I did because after I filed my petition I came to Nigeria to stay until after Interview. I wanted the embassy to know I was her. Had already been here 2 months when AOS and IV was sent in.

Also I have helped and advised folk who sent absolutely nothing with their I-130 but a marriage certificate and yes got approved. So went sent more evidence.

Yes take evidence to interview but there is no guarantee any of it will be asked for to see. I have seen too many people denied at interviewed who provided bare minimum in their petition package hoping to show what they have at interview and were denied or in AP because the CO didn't see nothing there.

It's all about your individual case and your embassy. Canada, UK, Australia is not Nigeria, The Middle East or Jamaica.

And you right Thomianguy

They do they homework. Why s t one person's Facebook is scrutinize down to "Seems you created a Facebook page just t appease immigration.". This was said to someone I know because they don't talk to no one but each other. N one else post, comments likes.

I have known of CO's who went and checked what name you use to create that Yahoo, WhatsApp, Hotmail account. I known friends who had field agents sent out. Even Ice agents coming to the petitioners home in US before interview.

II know my 393 pages with my I-130 matter but I truly believe the extra evidence showing I am here and living with hubby and hubby saying at interview I am still here. Sealed the deal. No evidence nothing of the evidence and albums he brought was even asked for . She said she had everything she needed we submitted everything they needed and wanted I know my embassy and Lagos loves pictures of family and Phone logs.

My visa case status says "Ready". I just noticed that two news numbers have been added to my case number. My case number now reads ISL********* 01. What does this mean?

That happens to be the derivative number..01 means principal applicant.

thank you dwheels76 for answering my question. After reading some of these comments I am a little confused about my case. A little background: my husband and I have been married for 5 years we have two kids together. I originally sent in a lot of proof for i-130 but I only sent in our marriage certificate as a proof to the NVC. I didn't send any additional documents. Do you guys think I should send in some proof because my file is still at NVC. Any advice guys?

Send what is necessary. Take any extra evidence to the interview. If they didn't ask for it then don't send it. That's my advice.

Thanks for replying. Our case is complete, NVC only asked us to send in my husbands birth certificate and marriage certificate. After we sent in these documents we got a case complete on the 26th of april. The reason I'm worried is that we didn't send any additional proof to NVC because they didn't ask. So should we just take it with us to the interview?

My husband didn't send in anything at the ds260 stage either other than the necessary documents. Everything else we took to the interview. I was told by someone who is from Guyana and did her husband's papers that someone from the embassy actually went to their neighbors and asked if they knew the couple. These people do their investigations properly and already know whether you're lying about something so at the interview, if the questions being asked are along a certain line then you know something is wrong.

Since I've been following these interview threads, the questions asked by COs, except a few cases are basic simple easy to answer questions. So if you see them going deeper and asking questions about sex and positions in bed and weird stuff like that, know that they found something suspicious in their investigations and while you may be pre approved, what you say at that interview determines where your case goes. All they asked for was group pictures in our wedding album and they asked who were a few persons in the pictures, basic how did you meet etc and that was basically my interview. In addition to that, when it comes to the AOS, they really don't care much how you file, just as long as your taxes shows you can support the person you're sponsoring and that you actually do your taxes and you're not in trouble with the IRS. At least that is what is required at Guyana's embassy, don't know about others but I figure procedures are not much different other than in high fraud countries. My husband actually wrote to the embassy in Guyana when he had questions and they responded.

The way I see it, not sending in those thing at that stage matters little. Just take them to your interview and you should be fine. All they need at the ds260 stage is what they ask for so no need to send anything else unless requested. You also don't want to make it seem like you're trying to over prove anything. That is something we were warned about constantly while getting our proof documents together. Just do what is asked of you and no more unless required.

Thank you. I have nothing to hide so I am not worried about that. Just the whole ds260 stuff bothered me but now that you explained thoroughly I have no issues. Thank you for taking the time to explain in detail.

Folks there is absolutely no need to panic if you didn't submit evidence in the earlier stages. Take your evidence to your respective interviews. I can speak with confidence as it relates to Jamaica, they will ask you for evidence If they are not satisfied with what is already there.Jamaican folks can read the Jamaica observer the embassy writes an article every week, the burden is on you to prove your case.
