I checked in to the Consulate exactly 13:01. Walked into the building after security check and got an Immigration ticket number. My appointment was for 13:30.

After seating for 1hr5min I was called to counter 13. At the counter the gentleman brought up my file sent from NVC, Went through all docs with me and I told him the 2015 tax transcript. Took my fingerprints and I went back to seat.

I sat again for another 40 minutes before I got called now to counter 15. The Lady told me to take my biometric scan for right finger and acknowledge the Oath which I did.

Now the series of Questions (Not in any particular order but I try to make them flow as asked)

· Who is your petitioner?

· How did you meet her?

· When did you meet her?

· So how did you both get along?

· When did you first get married?

· When was your divorce decree given?

· Why did you get married few months after you got divorced?

· Where you speaking to your petitioner while you were married?

· Why did you first marriage not work?

· How did you come to England?

· When did you come to England?

· What did you study in England?

· Tell me your visa history in England?

· How many siblings does your petitioner have?

· What are their names?

· What do they do?

· What are you petitioner’s sibling ambitions in Life?

· Where does your wife work?

· Who is her best friend at work?

· Who is her manager?

· What is her job title?

· What is the description of her daily activities at work?

· What is her favourite food?

· Who is her best friend

· How did she know her best friend?

· How long have they been friends?

· How did your spouse become a US citizen?

· When did she migrate to the States?

· When did she naturalise?

· How many times Has she visited the UK?

· When she came to UK where did you guys meet and what did you both do?

· What is the most memorable thing from that visit?

· When did you both first see each other?

· How many times have you been to the States?

· Where does her parent live?

· What address did her mum leave in Maryland when you first visited her?

· What does her Dad do?

· What address do her parent Live in New-York?

· Where does her mum currently live in Pennsylvania?

· Why did you guys chose Texas

· Why have you both not chose to live in England

· Have you lived in any other country aside from UK & Nigeria

· Have you ever had a change of Name?

· Do you both plan on having Children?

I believe I have missed out a few questions. It was a lengthy one and it seemed I was placed as last to be interviewed for the exact reason.

At the end she went ahead and said “I will go ahead and give you an approval and good luck”

I walked out of the Building with a grave Headache but Most importantly with Good news at exactly 16:49.

We anticipated this. But one thing I made sure I never did was to pre-meditate any response (My wife pushed hard for practice and I refused telling her, you just got to put God first and he will utter my utterances) as our Love was genuine. Now if you wonder why all of these, then let me give an insight perhaps it might help anyone else going through same.

So, I'm not sure if you all know this but the decision about your case is actually made before your interview.

When I had my interview, I was asked about three or four questions and the young lady just pulled out the approval slip and gave it to me. She didn't have to print it out or anything.

My interview was scheduled for 9:00am and my husband and I got there around 8:45. We sat there until 10:35am and then someone came out and had us take the oath. After which, we had to wait another half hour or so. Finally they called my name and instructed which window I was to go to. Got up to the window, a very polite gentleman asked for all my documents and my husband's 2015 taxes. He asked for my pictures, my recent copy of my birth certificate, an updated police clearance and that was about it. He stapled everything together and I was ten printed then told us to sit back outside until I hear my name called. After about ten minutes, my name was called again and my husband and I went into the room. A very polite young lady was gonna be conducting our interview and she asked my husband his name, where he worked and then politely told him to leave the room as she wanted to have a conversation with me.

She asked how my husband and I met, if I thought we got married too fast, what field I plan on getting into when I enter the US, and she looked at some wedding pics (she was more interested in the group pics). She asked me about a few people in the pictures and that was it. She said I was approved and handed me my papers. She asked if I wanted to leave when my husband was leaving and I told her it would be nice but I'm not sure if it's possible. She told me to come back for my passport on the 29th (interview was on the 27th). Went back with my husband on the 29th and they only allowed me inside. Went in, waited about half hour and then collected all my passport and the sealed package.

Overall, it was an amazing experience and when the consulate officers spoke, they were both so polite that the nervousness just vanished. I'm leaving next weekend so I'm hoping my port of entry also goes as awesome.

That sounded like a great experience! Congratulations to you and your husband and journey mercies as you both travel back together! :)

Nothing yet. Tooth pulled two days ago, final exams, new job position, and graduation in less then 11 days are kicking my butt. New things happening in my life. Just that, the Queen is not around to enjoy the excitements with her King :cry: I am just praying for a better news from this Journey. I want to feel my baby moving inside my Queen's belly. October is the due date. Anyway, God knows what is best for all of us.

best of luck to you! Hope you hear something soon. I was in a very similar boat 13 years ago with my first husband; pregnant with my first child, finishing up my Masters degree, and waiting for my husband to get his interview and praying we didn't get Administrative processing (he's from Morocco). Fortunately didn't get AP (harassed the embassy enough times they put me through to an immigration officer to find out exactly what was needed in order to avoid it) and he arrived in the US 5 hours before I went into labor with our first child (she decided she wanted to arrive 2 weeks early). He met my mother for the first time in the delivery room. Hopefully you'll get to be reunited soon!

Update: My husband he left yesterday to go to Lagos to drop off his passport at the DHL collection center. That's an 8 hour bus/car ride. He got there to late since the center closed at 4pm. Dang it. :protest:

So this morning he text me good morning said he was getting ready. Text here and there throughout the day. "Too many people, its hectic. Now trouble". Trouble I say, Now he just said to me an hour ago "Baby they rejected the drop off application and passport. Let me call you and explain". :ranting:

My head is swirling I am sick to stomach all a sudden. Now I hear the beats (music thumpin) of his car. No way who is driving my hubbies car.

IT IS HIM. That sneaky man.

With the biggest smile he gets out the car. I knew I just got played. :wow::rofl:

Passport submitted yesterday he got there before 4pm. They gave him the papers where to pick up VISA in 10 days.

If I wasn't so happy and relieved I would kick his butt. LOL (L) Love this man.

Hahaha, laughter is good for the soul ;). Glad that he made it back safely.

Good evening all,

I did my 2015 tax return as single because the person who did it for me said it wont be a problem. I recently realize that i was supposed to do it as married.

Do I need to do an amended tax return before hubby's interview? (I sent 2015 tax transcript to NVC along with all AOS documents back in march. NVC didn't give me a checklist or hasn't said anything about it.)

Lol I know you didn't say you the sane one. Lol. I will stay away from the other. Haha. Jk. But we have to have humor in this crazy world. Life too short to take things so personal and serious (all the time).

I'm am killing myself laughing. Petes30...you don't think I'm sane. Haha haha...truth be told between work and this process I have officially been declared certifiable. When the 1st check comes...imma split it with you so we can have a stash for our bail bond we might need to post.

I actually have to log in here periodically to distract myself momentarily from the chaos at work and partially because I am nosey as h***. AND because I love the spirit that oozing from the excitement of the members here as they progress through each phase of the process. Heck, if I wasn't going through this process..I might just have become a poser/VJ stalker just for the sheer excitment of the capitalized text "APPROVED"...or dwheels throwing out "MOFO" bombs..now although I understood her piss-tifity at the highest level...it was a relief, coupled with mad laughter, to see that someone other than myself want to f***** cuss at this process.

*check stamped CRA CRA 4 real!

Seriously though..there are some on here that are truly longing for their loved ones and to just take a break and laugh takes the edge off a bit. Gotta hold each up because this is some serious a** stuff. Example, Deji who was asked for everything and darn near a vital organ during the interview...poor me would've needed a 5th of Vodka after that!

Swagg star encourages my crazy...by doing rain dances and chanting my name for a funny!

APPROVED !!!!!!!!!!!!!!
