Update: My husband he left yesterday to go to Lagos to drop off his passport at the DHL collection center. That's an 8 hour bus/car ride. He got there to late since the center closed at 4pm. Dang it. :protest:

So this morning he text me good morning said he was getting ready. Text here and there throughout the day. "Too many people, its hectic. Now trouble". Trouble I say, Now he just said to me an hour ago "Baby they rejected the drop off application and passport. Let me call you and explain". :ranting:

My head is swirling I am sick to stomach all a sudden. Now I hear the beats (music thumpin) of his car. No way who is driving my hubbies car.

IT IS HIM. That sneaky man.

With the biggest smile he gets out the car. I knew I just got played. :wow::rofl:

Passport submitted yesterday he got there before 4pm. They gave him the papers where to pick up VISA in 10 days.

If I wasn't so happy and relieved I would kick his butt. LOL (L) Love this man.

Lol, congratulations to you both! That sounds like something my husband would do.

So here is my review of the medical done today.

I got there at around after 10am for my 11am appointment. Upon entering was asked to show my passport, interview letter, medical form, passport pictures also asked if I had my immunization card which I did. Then was told to write on the back of the medical form the address I will be staying at in the United States and also a contact number and name for refferal in Jamaica. I was then assigned a number.

Number was called a little after 11am where I made the first payment. Then was asked to have a seat. Was then called again to check my blood pressure , height and weight and eye exam then I was directed to do the blood test. After that, was then asked to have a seat back in the waiting area and wait for my name to be called. Waited a while, then was to do physical and was asked a few medical history questions by the doctor conducting the physical . After that was done I was asked to again wait for name to be called then was sent to do X-ray. When that was done I was then directed to go by the cashier and make payments for the necessary shots. When payment was made I again waited for my name to be called and a short while after my name was called and was told which shots I would be given. Medical was done at around 2:45pm. They were friendly and courteous. The waiting area has A/C and local TV channels but it may take a while in between waits so bring a book if you don't wanna be bored the entire time.

Good luck to all those with upcoming interviews and medical and also awaiting C/C and interviews. Hang in there. Let God be the strength you need as well as your spouse.

Hello Edissa508

So, I'm not sure if you all know this but the decision about your case is actually made before your interview.

When I had my interview, I was asked about three or four questions and the young lady just pulled out the approval slip and gave it to me. She didn't have to print it out or anything.

My interview was scheduled for 9:00am and my husband and I got there around 8:45. We sat there until 10:35am and then someone came out and had us take the oath. After which, we had to wait another half hour or so. Finally they called my name and instructed which window I was to go to. Got up to the window, a very polite gentleman asked for all my documents and my husband's 2015 taxes. He asked for my pictures, my recent copy of my birth certificate, an updated police clearance and that was about it. He stapled everything together and I was ten printed then told us to sit back outside until I hear my name called. After about ten minutes, my name was called again and my husband and I went into the room. A very polite young lady was gonna be conducting our interview and she asked my husband his name, where he worked and then politely told him to leave the room as she wanted to have a conversation with me.

She asked how my husband and I met, if I thought we got married too fast, what field I plan on getting into when I enter the US, and she looked at some wedding pics (she was more interested in the group pics). She asked me about a few people in the pictures and that was it. She said I was approved and handed me my papers. She asked if I wanted to leave when my husband was leaving and I told her it would be nice but I'm not sure if it's possible. She told me to come back for my passport on the 29th (interview was on the 27th). Went back with my husband on the 29th and they only allowed me inside. Went in, waited about half hour and then collected all my passport and the sealed package.

Overall, it was an amazing experience and when the consulate officers spoke, they were both so polite that the nervousness just vanished. I'm leaving next weekend so I'm hoping my port of entry also goes as awesome.

A big congratulations to you Both.Go start that new Life now.
