they haven't touched it since his interview. We need to submit more documents. Any clue once we submit them, do we also go through the security checks or if we are in it, are they doing them also while waiting for our stuff. I'm hoping once it's in, they make a decision soon.

I would imagine since that's all they are waiting for things are stopped until you comply the they move on. As far as instant approval. They will then investigate and verify the information they asked for.

Dear Sir/Madam,

The National Visa Center (NVC) received all the requested documentation for this immigrant visa case. The applicant is now in the queue awaiting an interview appointment overseas, where a consular officer will adjudicate the applicants visa application.

NVC schedules appointments one month in advance. The U.S. Embassy or Consulate General tells us what dates they are holding interviews, and NVC fills these appointments in a first-in, first-out manner. Most appointments are set within 60 days of NVC receipt of all requested documentation. However, we cannot predict when an interview appointment will be available.

When we are able to schedule an appointment, we will notify the applicant, petitioner and attorney (if applicable). The applicant can prepare now by reading about the embassys interview requirements online at http://nvc.state.gov/interview. Thank you for your patience.

The embassy may require additional documents at the interview. In particular, if the following three items are all true, the applicant must bring a new police certificate to the visa interview:

· He or she is more than 16 years old;

· The police certificate submitted to NVC was obtained more than one year ago; and

· He or she still lives in the country that issued the certificate.

The applicant should not make any travel arrangements, sell property, or give up employment until the embassy has issued a visa.

It is possbile to switch embassies after CC? The problem is that I'm living overseas with my family (in a third country) and my job is going to end here in about 2 months and then our visas to stay here will be cancelled.

Is getting a tourist visa at this point and entering the USA almost impossible?

So you want to have interview in the country of birth?

Don't understand the reasoning for Visitor Visa?

Anyway at this point it would be a pretty big risk to grant?

Hopefully you will get a June or July date and you can request an early date and maybe get grated one.

To switch embassies tales time some 2 to 3 months so if you want to switch I would request that now while NVC still has it.

You can request but now it will be probably be denied and also you have to wait until your case gets to embassy and they probably won't send it until close to end of May so he will probably have medical by then. It's best to schedule medical now. Then when case gets to embassy request earlier date stating you have had medical.

Thank you Yeah we will try again to schedule an appointment for medical.

I have another question, I did my 2015 tax return as single because the person who did it for me said it wont be a problem. I recently realize that i was supposed to do it as married. Do I need to do an amended tax return before hubby's interview? (I sent 2015 tax transcript to NVC along with all AOS documents back in march. NVC didn't give me a checklist or hasn't said anything about it.)

Congrats to all new CC's and interview dates! Seems like NVC is really working well these days! And I saw some visa approvals too (I just can't keep up with you guys) so congratulations to you as well!

35 days until my interview and CEAC tracker just changed to "In Transit". Wohoo!

Still not sure if I will actually get another letter or email from the Embassy in Frankfurt but I guess I'll just wait and see :-)
