btw my visa says upon endorsement serves as a temporary, I-551, CBP just stamp my entry with admitted and wrote IR-1 ( saying this so people dont get confused I know some of them get I-551 stamp) I didnt my visa remarks says that it serves as a temporary resident for a year.

Usually the SSN comes n 2 wee to 3 weeks. You might want to stop off at the SS office just to make sure you are in system. I don't know why they make that DS-260 to sometimes get it done. I know some getting their SSN within a week. Like dang.

THANK YOU JESUS. After seeing this good news, I didn't know what to do except to stop what I am doing to rejoice with you my sister and my brother. Congrats to you sister. That my brother better treats you like a like QUEEN, RESPECT YOU LIKE HE WOULD TO HIS MOTHER. This journey is tough and it is a journey travel by certain kind of special people. We just received our interview date 6/6. Ciudad Juarez. Finally MX is beginning to schedule time. Our CC was 3/11/16.

hello everybody,

My husband is scheduled for interview on June 21st. I am going to Bangladesh end of June and will be back on July 21st. I wanted to request an earlier interview date for him so we could come together (I am afraid we might be in AP for at least a month). So today when my husband called to to get an appointment for medical, they said he has to wait till end of may since they go by interview date basis.

Can we request for an earlier interview date without doing medical?

I don't even know if Dhaka embassy accept these requests, just wanted to give it a try...

You can request but now it will be probably be denied and also you have to wait until your case gets to embassy and they probably won't send it until close to end of May so he will probably have medical by then. It's best to schedule medical now. Then when case gets to embassy request earlier date stating you have had medical.

Only the $165 fee you pay after you receive Visa. Pay either before you leave Nigeria or after.

I received the Interview Letter (P4). Is there a separate letter from the Embassy later or is this all we get until the interview?

Every embassy is different. But I don't believe your embassy sends anything. Here's your info page to read not much on IR1/CR1 but the medical info is there.

For Jamaica which has been catching up is about 60 days from Case Complete to be schedule So you are probably looking at August interview date. Look at the spreadsheet so you can get a better look.

My wife is at the interview and they told she will have to wait one hour because the bio metrics was not done... Does the bio metrics have to b done before I am really worried now pls help !!!

Yes. Didn't you do the bio-metrics before interview? Was there an issue or you didn't do at all? They may interview her and put you n AP until they get bio-metrics if they were done or may reschedule her.

Please everyone here you need to be accessing your countries portal and click on the Consulate Information. Much of he things asked for specific countries on on these ages. And as a VJ member you can also update. You know that vital information about creating a ustraveldocs profile, where to go for medical, bio-metric If your country is lacking the information you now have please update.

Updated information helps us all. So sorry Supsimmi you didn't know about bio-metrics. India and Mexico both have offsite bio-metrics before interview. Everyone else its at interview.

Also please if you haven;t already created a timeline do so. It's a requirement . Keep it updated this helps us all.

Also do use the spreadsheet its there for a reason look at your countries timeline scheduling. DO NOT compare your CC, your scheduling or how long to any other embassy but your own.

And last Everyone here I know has read the first thread (still working on wiki so its not so busy. Alot of good in that's asked over and over again and its in the first thread. I sweat. LOL

Yes at 9:47am got this email. Hubby is leaving in morning to take that longgggggg bus ride to Lagos. We don;t even mind. WOW all the planning can start now. I am so happy. Thank you God and Thank you Lags embassy.
