God is good, just got back from interview with hubby and we got approved. The officer that interview my husband was very nice not much questions but he asked me to have a sit while he was interviewing my husband. Then he called me up and asked my husband to have a sit so that he can interview me. Then you told me call your husband so I can speak to both of you and he said visa approved. We are so happy and full of joy.

Congratulations!! :)

Hi All,

I am happy to mention that my POE was yesterday In Boston, It was simply easy.

I was on the Queue, when I got to the officer I handed him my passport, As I was reaching for the envelope in Briefcase he asked me "So what are you doing in my country?". I simply said I am coming here to join my Wife. He took the envelope off me and asked "Did you open it" I said No. Then he asked me "What do you do for work?" i answered, I am an IT Engineer. then he told me to place my right 4 fingers on the scanner, took my photograph and endorsed my visa.

He told me to wait in a corner as another officer will come for me. The officer came was handed my file and he ushered me to the CBP office where I sat and waited about 5Minutes. I got called and the officer asked if I brough any food, I replied No. He gave me my passport and that was it.

Waited for my connecting flight to Dallas which was at a domestic terminal. I am now joined with my wife and we are victorious at last. I did not even rest at all, Moment we got in straight picked the car drove to Home depot and we been shopping to beautify our home all day :) yesterday.

Today is my birthday and we prolly continue shopping then go wine and dine later in the day.

Welcome Deji and Happy Belated Birthday!

My husband arrived a day before you, Friday, 27th and POE was Boston as well. The same night he went to work putting up decorations that he brought with him on our walls, and we've been out shopping too lol. I'm telling you, such a blessing to finally be reunited with your spouse. :)

All the best to you and your wife!

There's no harm in having the Tax Transcript. I've heard the same thing so I requested my 2015 tax transcript (doesn't cost anything and you get it about a week later) and sent it to my husband to take with him to the interview, even though I sent the 2015 tax returns and W2 to NVC.

Thank you so much LinJoe, I will go ahead and request my 2015 tax transcript for my husband's interview. Edited by nwlove&hope

Hi all, I see that it's beneficial for your spouse to be there at the interview if possible, but many of us can't be there due to work and other reasons. Is it a factor in making a decision? Can those who couldn't have their spouse's with them let me know as well please.

I wasn't able to be with my husband during his interview and I know many others on here who couldn't either, and were all approved. Having your spouse with you at the interview may put the extra icing on the cake, but it's not necessary. From what I read on here and from my own personal experience, I believe it's mostly the evidence in your file that helps in making the decision. As long as you have good evidence and can prove a valid relationship/marriage then you should be fine. Don't think you should worry about this. :)

I thought I better ask these questions before we move on to the new month. My wife is a nurse in Ghana and we are also expecting a baby in October and her interview date is July 26.

Question:

1) Does my wife needs to add any employment document(s) to prove that she is a nurse in Ghana to the consulate ? If she does, what type(s) of documents does she needs to have? All her employment documents does not have my last name.

2) Would that be a problem?

3) Which clinic will you all recommend for her to go to in Ghana?

4) When do you think is the best date for her to go do her medical testing?

Thank your all for your input!

About the Clinic, I personally prefer Akai House but I have heard others claim it's cheaper at the other place.

The medicals is valid for 6 months I believe so once you have an interview scheduled, you can go any day. Just make sure to be there early.

1.) Since your wife is the one going for the interview, it is not necessary for her to carry proof of employment. It's only necessary for her to have financial documents from you.

2.) No

3.) My husband went to Holy Trinity and paid 1200 but they took them to Akai to complete exams because x-ray machine hasn't been working for a while and he was there for a looooong time, from early that morning until about 3:30 pm because they had to wait for everyone. Not sure but it may be more convenient for her to go to Akai.

4.) My husband had to go two weeks later for a second set of vaccinations so I would say at least one month to 3 weeks before the interview.

All the best to her on interview day!

So true, i was thinking the same!

I´ve got 8 days, 11 hrs, 30 minutes and 40 seconds left as i´m typing this :goofy:

My hubby is all relaxed about the interview ("You´ll do just fine, stop worrying so much!") but me on the other hand - being typical german - have at least a dozen bad scenarios in my head :clock:

I´m sure by the time i get to the embassy i will he shaking in my boots, haha!
