Case Complete to Interview June 2016

How long does it take to get the interview letter? My interview was assigned I believe 2 days ago and I just found our the date yesterday. How long should I wait until I get the email? Thanks in advance!

Quick update. I was checking the CEAC Website yesterday and noticed the status changed to In Transit. I called NVC and asked if my case had been forwarded to the Embassy and the guy told me it had actually been sent yesterday. I had read some other threads on how to Track your case from NVC to Embassy and found an old 2009 thread with some old instructions. I was wondering if anyone on this thread had tried it.

I tried it, but I think because my package had just left yesterday there is nothing to be tracked yet. Like maybe it's not on DHL's system yet.

What I read on the other thread on How To Track Your Case from NVC To Embassy was more or less this (I updated the instructions a bit):

1- When you know from NVC that your case was forwarded to your embassy (mm/dd/yyyy), lets take my example case forwarded to Venezuelan embassy on May 25th 2016

2- Go to the DHL Website: Track Using Personalized Shipper's References

3- Then under Shipper´s Reference put the reference number in this format EXP 24 MAY 2016A

4- Select a date range... here you should note that in my example the case was supposedly sent yesterday, but I am entering the 24th as the date because they schedule the shipping day before so that DHL knows in advance when they will ship it. So, the day before the date they gave you over the phone will be your exact day for NVC shipping your case to your embassy. Therefore, I selected the 24th as date on the Date range for shipment - From field, and todays date in the Date range for shipment - To field.

5 - Select your country under the location drop down menu. I selected Venezuela

6- Click the Track>> Button.

Of course, if you input my info it shows nothing, I guess because it just happened yesterday. Maybe I will check again later to see.

Has anyone else used this? Did it work? where you able to track your package?

ahhhhhhhhhhhh so happy...the wait is almost over!! I called NVC to check up, and the lady informed me of our interview date in July!! Just waiting for an email confirmation now :) :) exactly 30 days from NVC receiving our documents!

My wife and I received her interview letter(P4) through email yesterday. I got a question, are we or my wife going to receive a hard copy mail through her address in Ghana? Thoughts Ghana fam.

Some people get a letter by post as well while some don't. I received my p4 letter on April 29th by email and I received it by post today i.e May 26th.

I got the email within 24 hrs after I called NVC and was told my interview date. When I called the nice lady told me that it literally just got assigned moments ago.

Good afternoon everyone.....

First, let me say this...No matter my circumstances good or bad...I always give thanks to God..always. Second, for all, way too many to name but you know who you...thank you from the bottom of my and the hundreds heart for being such a support throughout this process. I have personally made connections with other VJers that have truly kept me laughing and encouraged through this process...Okay now to what you really want to know...

My husband left this morning at around 4:45am JA time for the Kingston Embassy for his 7:00am. interview. I know this because he called and woke me up...I covered him and the taxi driver in prayer and they were on their way.

At approx. 9:39am EST my husband called and said..."it was easy..." He ran through the logistics of clearing security, biometrics and document submission. He said he then wanted for his name to be called and he went up to the window. The very first person in his group to be interviewed. So here is his line of questioning:

1. Who's filing for you? Response, my wife

2. What's her name? He responded

3. Where do you work? He responded

4. Tell me about your wife. He responded

5. Where does your wife live? He responded. CO said he never heard of that part of Georgia...(h*** neither have I until I moved here).

6. Where did you get married?

7. Who put together your package? He responded, my wife. CO said, "she did an excellent job and this package was nicely done."

So, now here is where it gets sticky...my husband said he said, ""IF" it's APPROVED You can pick your visa up at DHL." So me now being the investigator I am said...what do you mean "IF"...did you get your passport back? No they kept it...so for 6 he's I have been researching and trying to figure out WTH. My husband called me back about 2 hours ago (we just got off the phone)...and I made him (yes made him) walk me through the entire process starting from the time he got out of the car. So he gets to the part again...and he's saying to himself "IF its a" "IT'S APPROVED"..and I said what did he say...then said.."no babes, no got nervous and mi mash up what him said..Mi 100% sure him seh, "IT'S APPROVED".." Babes.."IT'S APPROVED"...

SO.."IT'S APPROVED"...now watch for world news for headline story about a deranged wife who purchased a ticket to Jamaica; Who went solely to kicked her husband's a**! I don't need my squad...I got this one...

I posted about me tracking my package just last week! I used this and it worked like a charm. The day I saw mine changed to "In Transit" I went to DHL and found the one package that was being sent to Mumbai. Initially, I tried using the date it changed to "In Transit" but nothing came up. so then I changed it to the day before and boom there it was! I tracked it all the way to delivered status in Mumbai and that same day my case status changed to "Ready." Granted it hasn't been touched since then, but it's there!

Does anyone know for my interview do I need an updated AOS or do I just need an updated IRS transcripts for this year?

Congratulations to all on your approvals and interview dates!!! I'm so happy for everyone:)

I saw that my hubby's case was touched and updated on the 16th of May and then again on the 24th. We have 12 days to go before the interview!!! Hopefully that just means they're getting ready for us, I know no one knows the exact reason for being updated but as the day gets closer, I just try my best to stay positive and keep my faith strong. This week, I have been struggling because I just miss my husband so much:(. The separation is tough to bear at times, and I know everyone can relate to that. Just wanted to say that I'm praying for everyone and hope you all do the same for us please.

Second that. Although I had sent everything to my husband, he said that they did not ask for the information but the best advice would be it's better to have it than not.
