Hey guys since I read that they are starting interview scheduling today I went ahead and called NVC. My cc was April 26th and I have a interview scheduled for July 19th. I wanted to know why is it that far out in July when they just started scheduling. I was just wondering. At this point I'm just happy to know that I have an interview scheduled. Alhamdulillah. GOD IS GREAT!!!!

You must remember that your visa type is not the only one being processed at your consulate. They have ir1/cr1, k1, h, j, e, k3, etc, etc, etc. Be thankful that you got an interview date and don't have to be waiting like the others who got CC before you but their embassy takes long in scheduling. Count your lucky stars ;)

I am thankful. Lol. I was just wondering how they're doing the scheduling since they just started.

Hi Dean,

To be quite honest, only a guideline regarding documents can be given to you but the reality is you may not be asked for anything extra (like me), just the specific docs they required on the embassy interview letter OR you may be asked for additional evidence of a bona fide marriage to your spouse.

Either which way, it is advisable to go with the required original docs and a copy of each as well as extra photos, bank statements that can show a joint account if that exists, receipts that you have kept showing stuff bought for each other, chat logs (skype, facebook, etc), flight history of visiting your spouse and them visiting you. If there is anything else you think might suffice as evidence to prove your marriage, then by all means take it with you. It is always better to be over-prepared than to be asked for it at the interview and you don't have it.

The original signed i864 is required at the interview along with the 2015 tax transcript from IRS, Form 1040 for the year 2015 and the petitioner's W2s or 1099s for 2015. Make sure you have those as they are critically important in determining the financial sponsorship.

Good luck at the interview and keep praying that all goes well and you get APPROVED! :D

Amadia, the original i-864 is submitted to NVC to my understanding. That's what I had to do and I have a copy of it for the hubby for his interview. I'm a little confused, how are we supposed to take the original if that was submitted to NVC?

If you filed 2015 taxes, an updated i864 will need to be done....that's what I'm referring to.

You mean if you filed 2015 taxes after having submitted all the documents to NVC? I submitted everything in March and had already filed at that point for this year, so I had included the tax returns for 2015 as well to NVC, so I wouldn't need an updated one, correct?

Correct. If you have already submitted 2015 tax returns, you are golden.

My father inlaw filed 2015 taxes and I needed an updated i864 to take to my interview with his and my husband's signature. Mind you, the CO took the updated signed original and returned the NVC ones to me. So, I'm giving a heads up on this to those with upcoming interviews.

Approved in Kingston today. Only two questions asked ,to my husband how many kids we have and to me when did migrate to America. Then he said approved pick up passport in one to weeks but my husband spoke to the CO and we getting in back Friday. Like Debbie always say front load your packages. No request for additional documents not even 2015 tax documents

Prayers time again y'all ????. Let us remember these spouses in our prayers tonight. Just wanna let you guys know that your visas has been approved in Jesus Name. Just show up at the embassy and have a normal conversations with the CO as you would with your sweet spouses. I know those CO are bored??? they just want our spouses to come and make their day go by faster. No worries guys. Just get yourselves a good night rest and go get those VISAS put on your passports. GOOD LUCK MY FRIENDS ????

Tommal, I am sure you are feeling very low today. I'm so sorry. But the good news is that this is just another hurdle to jump - you were not denied totally! Just temporarily! Tax transcripts take about a week to get in the mail. And they kept your passport, which is a VERY good sign!

I get so mad when I see that lawyers have hurt peoples' cases. They make a lot of money, and are not always good. I liked my attorney, but I had to correct her once, and push her once. Now that we are in the Removal of Conditions stage (ROC), I'm not using a lawyer!

Sukie in NY

Dear Sukie

Thanks for the kind words.

Tommy left today for US.

The first thing he will do in Florida is to attend on Tax papers.

Yes I will never recommend our Lawyer to anyone.

I think he is not an experienced lawyer in visa cases. One time he lost our documents that made us 3 months delay.

All the best for your future events!!

ROC Process:
