I lived in the UK when we started this process (I'm Finnish), and the LND case number stayed. We did change our address ages ago and all the paperwork (DS261/260/Affidavits) were supplied with our Korean address. No-one got the memo, it seems.

Flying to London and back is a non-issue. At this point of the process, if I have to stand on my head it doesn't matter. I just want to get this done with.

I was reading the Asia forums for interview gouge, I guess I'll better start rereading the UK ones! :)

I'm just concerned for you, because you have to have the "right" to interview in a country other than the passport(s) you hold - you must have a current working visa, or a residency visa. Just because you have an LND case number MAY not be good enough. I'd hate for you to fly to London just to have them reject your case because you have no "claim" to be interviewed in London save for your case number.

Canadians always have to prove this - either with a birth certificate, a Canadian passport, or some sort of work/residency visa. I'm just assuming that the UK is the same.

Just be careful!

they usually start giving out interview towards the end of the month. Hopefully by early or mid next week you hear from them.

I might not even here anything to be honest. A lot of April filers from Mexico haven't gotten an interview date. My case was complete 5/12 I might not hear anything until end of June for August interviews. The waiting game is killing me :(

Hey guys since I read that they are starting interview scheduling today I went ahead and called NVC. My cc was April 26th and I have a interview scheduled for July 19th. I wanted to know why is it that far out in July when they just started scheduling. I was just wondering. At this point I'm just happy to know that I have an interview scheduled. Alhamdulillah. GOD IS GREAT!!!!

To all the people that were approved, congratulations to you! To all the people in AP be strong and patient, but you must follow the instructions given to you and act accordingly. AP may just be a blessing you don't realized as yet.

Thanks for the words of encouragement Pico....God is the stronghold of my visa journey and I am but a servant at His helm :)

I need help people please getting so nervous for my interview. My interview for my cr1 visa is in just under 2 weeks now and preparing my documents. So what type of evidence will i need to take to the interview? And i have my I-864 do i need to take the original or a copy is ok? And is 2 years tax return efficient enough for the interview? Any help is truly appreciated!

Dean

Hi Dean,

To be quite honest, only a guideline regarding documents can be given to you but the reality is you may not be asked for anything extra (like me), just the specific docs they required on the embassy interview letter OR you may be asked for additional evidence of a bona fide marriage to your spouse.

Either which way, it is advisable to go with the required original docs and a copy of each as well as extra photos, bank statements that can show a joint account if that exists, receipts that you have kept showing stuff bought for each other, chat logs (skype, facebook, etc), flight history of visiting your spouse and them visiting you. If there is anything else you think might suffice as evidence to prove your marriage, then by all means take it with you. It is always better to be over-prepared than to be asked for it at the interview and you don't have it.

The original signed i864 is required at the interview along with the 2015 tax transcript from IRS, Form 1040 for the year 2015 and the petitioner's W2s or 1099s for 2015. Make sure you have those as they are critically important in determining the financial sponsorship.

Good luck at the interview and keep praying that all goes well and you get APPROVED! :D
