Hi everyone!

I just wanted to ask a question regarding the I864.

Do I have to take an original signed I864 to the interview, if so does the date of signature on the I864 have to be current as of signing or can it be the date when it was submitted to the NVC?

Thanks.

Take a copy of what you originally sent to NVC. (unless you have changed it - then the date should be current)

Thank you Sheryl15![/quot

You are welcome.... Hubby is less than 2 weeks to interview.... I am nervous

I was too...a nervous wreck! But the moment he called me and told me he was approved I was finally able to breathe and relax. The same will happen for you and your hubby. Two weeks will arrive before you know and it will all be over and well. All the best to you two!

Thanks....I will check it periodically tomorrow...just cause I am nosey as h***. The one thing that I have noticed is that our vimeo wedding video count has jumped up about 5 or 6 views within the last few weeks...and it ain't me watching it...although I am kinda partial to it.

Lol, I was checking the status every week. Wow, they're already on it! The interview is tomorrow! All the best to him. I'm looking forward to seeing that message from you tomorrow telling us he was approved!

To all the people that were approved, congratulations to you! To all the people in AP be strong and patient, but you must follow the instructions given to you and act accordingly. AP may just be a blessing you don't realized as yet.

Thanks picobenz!

Just called to see if they'd scheduled my interview yet. Apparently they are starting scheduling July interviews today. I am getting so impatient!!

Fingers crossed that all of us that are waiting for interview dates get them soon!

Wow! So soon? I have my fingers crossed for you and all those waiting for interviews!

Good morning everyone,a big congrats to all who got approve. Joy ??

Thank you brina29!

Looks like I was tracking the correct package from NVC to Mumbai! it was delivered today and my case status says "Ready." Husband finished his medical and was told if he doesn't get a phone call before 1pm tomorrow, then everything is fine and he can go pick up the results by 4pm. If something is not right, then he will get a phone call and they will send the results directly to the embassy. He said the doctor was very nice and even wished him a "speedy reunion with your wife." :)

He got 4 vaccinations: Influenza, Measles, Chicken Pox and can't remember the 4th one....I think Tetanus.

We're movin' and groovin' now!

Praying everything goes smoothly by God's grace!

On another note, I wonder how often the embassy updates their documents online because their document says to take 3 photographs, my husband said he took 6 but was asked for 8. When he told the guy he only had 6, the guy said that's fine and accepted it. I wonder how much the hospital makes up their own rules.

We had to have 3 - one for the doctor, one for the x-ray lab and one for the blood lab. You are the second person from India that was told they had to have 8 pictures. That makes me think the hospital is making up their own rules, or that something nefarious is happening with the pictures!!!

Thanks so much! I checked again today and still nothing. I'm not going to allow to hold much value...he has what he needs on hand document wise...so...

The only thing that has changed is the views of our wedding video that was mentioned in the affividavit outlining our relationship...

Maybe they are too busy....

The U.S. embassy website in Kabul also said to take 2 visa-type photographs to the medical however on the appointment letter they stated he should bring 8. Thus, I too wondered why they needed so many pictures but my husband had his medical exam 4 days ago and took them anyway. He's 23 and also got 4 vaccines: Influenza, MMR, DTP, and I believe Polio (although he already had this one when he was little - but had no vaccination record for it). It definitely seems the hospitals make their own rules! lol

Praying everything goes smoothly for you too Linjoe! Can't wait for the month of June to arrive so we're that much closer to our husband's interviews :D

To everyone who has June interview dates for either themselves or their spouses, I know how it feels waiting! Hubby's is on the 8th of June in London and we're just getting all the documents etc. ready. I made a check list for him so we ensure everything is in order. As hard as it is not to worry and stress over every minor detail you think you didn't do or could have done better.....once we give it all we got, it's in God's hands and I truly believe he will lift each and everyone one of us up through this process and reunite us with our loved ones as soon as possible. My prayers are with everyone in this group, and I hope I have each of yours too b/c the power of prayer is truly an amazing thing!

Hi Dean,

I would think you have a copy of your I-864 as the original had needed to be turned in to the NVC when you sent in your documents?

I made a check list for my hubby, so let me add it here for you, it may help. Please keep in mind a few items are specific to our case which I noted below but maybe it'll give you an idea at least.

Documents/Items to bring to Interview:
1. Passport
2. Passport photos (I think it's 2 but take some extra just incase)
3. Your interview letter (the one emailed with time of interview and stuff)
4. Original police certificate & copy
5. Original birth certificate & copy
6. Original marriage certificate & copy
7. DS-260 confirmation
8. Confirmation of courier service of how you want your documents returned (you have to do that online)
9. Corrected original I-864 of joint sponsor (this was specifically for our case)
10. Copy of my I-864
11. Tax return/W2's copies
12. Any extra docs I had given him
13. Wedding pics, emails, what's app convos, anything like that you can add
