That's great news for you...we got put into AP....got 221g...additional financial docs needed. They asked for 1040 from my father in law but he's a private contractor and only get 1099; they want a job letter from my husband. They also said we may need another sponsor if these things can't be provided. I feel like I'm lost with all of this now. :(

Hey Amadia,

Sorry to hear about AP, but those docs should be fairly easy to obtain. You can still get a 1040 (the name of the form might be slightly different for private contractor, not too sure) using the 1099, so just as long as your father in law filed his taxes he should have a copy of the 1040 to send to you. Depending on the company, HR should be able to turn around a letter of employment to your husband within a few days. I requested one for our interview and it was ready the next day. Stay encouraged, you've encouraged a lot of people on here, you've come this far and it's almost over. Just an unexpected hurdle, but I'm praying that you'll have your approval soon.

I'm back in the U. What a last few days.

They wouldn't let me on my Friday night flight cuz we got to ticket counter 15 min late (flight wasn't leaving for another 2 hours).

Anyway had to pay $300 to change flight to saturday night. Next day more issues end up getting put on a direct flight to Houston.

Arrived yesterday, Sunday morning 5am.

My daughter said take these Unison sleeping pills.

It's Monday morning. Lol

I have alot here to catch up on. Ya'll been busy.

Now to prepare the house for hubby's arrival next month. Wooo whoooo.

I need more sleep. ;)

Welcome back dwheels! Despite the setback. happy that you made it back safely.

What airline gave you issues? My husband is set to travel this Thursday evening, arriving here Friday!! :D. I know of at least one other person who had problems boarding their flight from Nigeria last year, even though they arrived to the airport way before departure time. Not sure if it's because they're accidentally overbooking flights, but that worries me.

So I'm thinking to tell him to be at the airport at least 3 1/2 hours before. I'll also probably do online check in for him Thursday morning, just to be safe.

Go to your medical with your current interview letter. I don't think the Doctor's surgery is connected with the Embassy/Consulate. The Doctor won't even know your interview has been rescheduled.
