Hello everyone!

I have my birth certificate in my native language, hindi and it does not have my name as when i was born it was not necessary to give the name of the child..it was decided later by the family (I think that still the case!). I have secondary evidence of my class 10 certificate with my date of birth and fathers name but not mothers. Any idea if i can use the school certificate and a letter from my mother as an affidavit? I have also translated my original. I had submitted these at CSC and got no RFE. Will these work for the interview in Delhi? HELP!!!

thanks

dano

If it was good enough for uscis, I would imagine that it's good enough for the interview. That's just my opinion. Good luck!

Hmm.... are you the petitioner or the beneficiary? Haha...cuz I saw your time line and the names written were N and V and you signed this thread with "dano".....uhm. Just wanted to say that if you are the petitioner then I think there would be no problem but if you're the beneficiary, maybe you wanna add an attachment explaining why your name was not written on the birth certificate and the purpose of submitting the supporting docs, because the birth certificate for the beneficiary is usually needed for the Interview stage instead of the USCIS stage, so....there's a possibility that the USCIS only paid attention to the petitioner's birth certificate and not the beneficiary's..... Good luck!
