I will say your case is close to getting next step. When they request that it means they have gotten to your case. That's why we wait for certain period to hear from them. Hang in tight and believe you should be hearing from them in like a month or so. Saying this based on other peoples experience.

I was issued a RFE and I submitted the documents requested on April 19th 2016. How long will it take to hear something from USCIS?

It normally can take up to 30 days but some times it takes just a few weeks. Good luck.
