Finally have my medical and interview in Montreal scheduled!

Hello everyone!

After many months of gathering docs and waiting, waiting, waiting, I finally have my medical booked at Medisys in Montreal for June 10th, and my interview for June 29th!

When I spoke with Medisys, they advised me to bring:

- vaccine records (showing that I received varicella, tetanus, flu, and MMR shot)

- any prescriptions/letter from doc explaining the reason for me being on anti-anxiety meds

- glasses/contact lens

- passport

- 5 passport sized photos

- letter from US embassy confirming interview date

I had the chicken pox when I was younger, so I don't believe I've ever had the varicella vaccine. Will this be a problem or should I bring a record showing that I had it, or what?

Also, I've booked a stay in a hostel for my interview, but if anyone has CHEAP accommodation suggestions, that would be awesome. I am not from Montreal, and I've only been there once so the city is completely unfamiliar to me. Something close by would be the best.

And just to clarify - once I receive the medical results, I am not to open them? I just give them to the consular at my interview?

Eek I am so excited! the end is in sight :)

Congratulations on getting your appointment!!

For the chicken pox, I just told the nurse I had it when I was a kid. No need to bring any kind of paperwork.

Also, you will be handed a do not open envelope, and a document called DS-3025. It's a vaccination record you will need if you are adjusting status from K1. ( Sorry I did not look which visa you applied for.

They told me to call them about a week after the medical to see if everything was ready. It was,but they were nice enough to hold it until the day before the interview as I actually went to the US and was coming back the day before.

February 20th, 2016: AOS/EAD/AP Package sent! (Received 2/25, yay for USPS delays!)

March 4th, 2016: NOA 1 for all 3 applications

March 11th, 2016: Hardcopies with all 3 receipt Numbers received

March 30th, 2016: Biometrics (as a code 2, Maybe have to go again?)

April 25th, 2016: Walk in for the SECOND Biometrics appoinment (Code 3 this time, Officer was not the happiest but told us to come back at noon and he'd let us in.)

May 16th, 2016: Submitted Service Request for I-765

June 8th, 2016: Called USCIS concerning delay, officer put another request in and said the previous one would like be ignored as it was created through their website.

June 21st, 2016: Contacted both NY Senators.

July 1st, 2016: RFIE for I-485.

July 8th, 2016; Sent Evidence Requested by USCIS. (Received July 13th)

July 15th, 2016; Emergency Advance Parole due to Family Emergency

July 27th, 2016; Contacted USCIS Ombudsman as my I-765 has been pending for 5 months.

July 30th,2016; EAD/AP have been approved!

Did they need the flu shot vaccine? I thought it was only between October and another month?
