Passport vs Green Card - Different Names

After my marriage I will change my name and I will end up with a AP and AOS under my new name, still my passport will have my old name on it, will that be a problem to get in the USA after I leave the country?

I know the obvious reply will be, change/update your passport, the problem is, the way I'm changing my last names is not normal in my country, and with that in mind I will have to go there, sign a petition to change my last names, be approved, etc etc... So if I go one week to my country I will not have the time to receive the approved name change, update my personal ID and then after update my passport, but still I need to use it to travel back. Will be a problem presenting a passport with one name and then the green card with another?

After I change my name in SS (seems like here WI the name is changed in SS and not in the marriage certificate) will I get a paper saying what was my old name and what is my new name, any documentation proved that I really change my name? I know I will have my new SSN with the new name, but how someone will know what was my old name?

Ok. One thing that is wierd is that our marriage certificate don't have the new names, only the old ones, is that normal? (the information I get is that the name change is done in the SS)

Some other user will help with this one.

Many regions do not use marriage certificates that specifically show a name change, but it still functions as a legal name change document. As far as different names on AP/GC and the passport, this is fairly common. Many countries do not make it easy to change a passport name, so many people such as my wife and I book her airline tickets in her passport name, use the GC to re-enter the US and always keeps a copy of her marriage certificate with her, but so far no one has questioned the differences. In fact often times, USCIS does not even look at the passport if someone is re-entering with a GC. Also, in our case the marriage certificate also does not specifically state the new name.

Good Luck!

You will need your green card, passport (from your country) and marriage certificate.

You will only need your gc and marriage certificate when you are on your way back. (Not all marriage certificates have your new name)

Remember to buy your tickets with your passport name, they need to match.
