After all the problems we had with the address we add another one. At the beginning of February we had an infopass to see what happens with the EAD.

We were told that the EAD had been approved an i should have it in the mail in 20 days. My FBI name check was also done so the GC should be approved sometime after the end of March.

Well ... now is more than a month later .... and I have no EAD. What is have is a letter for a biometrics appointment . I did my biometrics in January , the same day with the interview. The later is dated March 8 2007 and is for an appointment in December 2006

We are going for another infopass today and hope to get some answers?

I hope nobody has such crazy problems.

Have a good day.

Hey there,

I had a similar issue. We got the USCIS e-mail stating that our case was approved, and to await the approval notice in the mail. Then, we got a notice, and it said "Notice of Approval," but in the body of the notice, it called for biometrics, and it had completely the wrong case status on the form. I checked online, and it was still showing our case as approved. We went to infopass, and the officer was totally clueless. He didn't even know that California approved cases without interviews. He said it was impossible that we were already approved.

We did biometrics again, just in case, but the biometrics officer there said that our other biometrics came out just fine, so they were puzzled. A few days later, I checked to see if there was an updated status on the website, and it had reverted back to "this case is pending." I called the infoline, got a complete runaround. Finally, I asked to speak to a supervisor who checked on the status and said that we had indeed been approved. Eventually, we got another e-mail notice stating that the greencard was being mailed. Once we got the greencard, the approval date was the same date we got the first approval notice via e-mail.

I really think that they used a form on their computer from another case, and forgot to update it with our information. I think it was just a clerical error, which sounds like it could be with your case. I would go to the infopass anyway and do whatever they say, just so you can't be accused of not following instructions.

I hope this works out for you soon! I know how frustrating the wait can be, especially if you're supposed to already have approval.
