2015 taxes and 3 year rule N-400

My wife filed her N-400 back in February before we filed our 2015 taxes. She sent the 2012, 2013 and 2014 tax transcripts (maybe even a 2011, I don't know) with her N-400. She's now in-line for her interview and my best guess is that it will happen in the next 4-6 weeks. Will they ask for 2015 tax info at the interview? We have already received our refund but we only filed about 2-1/2 weeks ago. Will the 2015 transcripts even be available this soon after filing? Just thinking ahead...

If you already received your refund, you are good to go. Just order your transcripts through IRS website or go to a local IRS office to get a printout.

It does not seem like 2015 tax transcripts are available yet, which is understandable so close to the deadline date.

Oh, I'm guessing the people that I've seen had filed but not yet received their refund. Maybe this is why the transcript was not available.

Thanks! I was thinking the same but the last thing I want is for them to ask her for them at interview time. I might check with the IRS a week before or print out a copy of the entire 1040 w/my W-2's, just in case..

You could check it online right now. It would show "2015" if it is available. I filed my taxes early this year just to use in my N400 package. I sent it out end of January as soon as we had the W2s in hand and got our refund in 3 days. That same day I went online to IRS website and was able to order 2015 transcripts. It came in the mail couple days later.

We used to file much earlier but, in 2014, we started renting out the apartment she bought before we met so we have a small rental income to report. Unfortunately, Colombian banks don't generate year-end docs (tax info, mort. interest info, etc.) until the end of March, so... now we have to wait. But, we file electronically, so no post offices! (and the 2 week wait for the refund wasn't too bad.)

Well last year we owed some crazy amount and waited until the very last day to file. So, I know the feeling but I've been filing electronically since 2009. No more paper mailing.

I got my 2015 transcripts printed out yesterday, they are available. Unfortunately, the online printout option is no longer available since last year I believe...

I think they removed the online printout option after the IRS got hacked, maybe. At any rate, yes it became unavailable last year, as far as I could tell.
