My five year GC date minus one month was yesterday and I have not been placed in-line for interview. I'm wondering if USCIS still gives that status update since I've been reading that you go from biometrics straight to interview scheduling now rather than being placed in line?

Did you file 90 days prior?

give it a chance today!! let us know if something changes tomorrrow!

I want to add that in my case this is perfectly accurate. I filed on 10/09/17, and had my Biometrics taken on 11/07/17. My status did not change to in-line for interview until 11/20/17. My 5  year anniversary date is 12/19/17. Only reason it updated a day later is that 30 days before anniversary fell on a Sunday.

Interesting...!

We are at the same Field Office. My anniversary date is 01/30/18, so hopefully I will receive a nice "end-of-the-year" present from USCIS...!

Oh, wishful thinking! :D

F-1 Visa: Academic years 2007/2010.

K-1 Visa: I-129F sent Aug 2013; Approved Jan 2014.

Green Card: AOS sent Feb 2014; Approved Jan 2015.

Removal of Conditions: I-751 sent Nov 2016; Approved Apr 2018.

US Citizenship: Application sent Nov 2017; Fingerprints Nov 2017; Civics/English exam March 2018; Oath May 2018.

I was really interested in this post a couple of months ago when I found it, and I could not wait to verify this theory,

Sadly, it didn't happen for me.

I applied beginning of November 2017 (3 months early filing), and got my biometrics taken mid-November (SF field office),

My 5 years GC anniversary is beginning of February (next month), and I had no update since my biometrics got reviewed.

According to this post, I should have been in line for an interview last week...

Hopefully, I'm not stuck in background check or anything like that (I'm a French citizen, it seems it's generally pretty fast from what I've seen on VJ).

Anyway, there's not so much I can do but waiting :)

Yes! (sorry, I forgot to mention)

so this theory only applies for paper fillers, it worked perfectly for me... but in your case you're not gonna get "in-line", you're getting right to interview date, online fillers are getting scheduled way faster... good luck my friend!!
