ESTA after applying for K1 Visa

Hi guys,

Straightforward question.

We have applied for a K1 Visa. Still early days (got the NOA1 2 weeks ago). Am I generally okay to visit my USA based fiance on the ESTA (British passport) in America for a 2 week vacation while the K1 is in process?

If yes, would I take with any other supporting documents to show at the POE other than my ESTA and my return ticket (thinking maybe a letter from my employee, etc, showing reasons to return home until the K1 visa is approved).

Yup, perfectly fine :-)

I went twice, no problems. I always brought a letter from my employer and my lease in Norway. I was never asked for it, but it felt better to have it. I was once asked if my fiance had petitioned for me, and the officer was very happy to hear that he had and that I could detail my plans of returning for the interview :-)

Very few of us ever had problems doing it. You should be fine.
