Hello, my sister is an U.S. Citizen currently living overseas. She wants to move to the U.S. with her spouse, child and parent. Her child did not become an U.S. Citizen at birth because she has not lived in the U.S. for 5 years.

What is the best way for her to do it? I read about the K3/K4 visa for spouse and child and the immigrant visa. I also read that the K3/K4 are "rare/obsolete" (not sure what does it really mean). Which way is fastest?

This is what I know about the process:

*She fills the I-130 for each.

*Notification of confirmation

*Notification of decision

Then I don't know what happens. I don't understand when they have to take the medical exam and the interview.

Thanks in advance!

Suggest the she joins the site and reads the guides which explain the process, she may be eligible to file at the local Consulate, DCF which seriously speeds up the process.

Yes she files the I130.

Please note that the parents may not get a visa at the same time as her spouse and child. Different category of relative.
