What to do if no NOA after GC expires

I desperately need advice. My GC expires on May 2nd and I haven't heard back from VSC. My packet was received on April 12th. The check hasn't been cashed either. What do I do? What about my employment?

I have no plans on traveling. At lest not out of the country.

You're still legal. Unless your employer specifically asks to see the extension letter/NOA1 you don't need to do anything about it.

Thank you! I don't think they even check except prior to hiring. There are other things like driver's license that expires soon.

When you get your NOA1 go renew your license until your 10 year card comes.

Exactly my point. License is good for 2 years which is expiring soon. I csnnot renew without proof of immigration status. Can't drive, can't work until NOA arrives.

Well keep an eye on them cashing the check, and put in for some vacation time perhaps? I didnt have the driver's license issue and we've survived with one vehicle. Best of luck.

Oh I do. Lol! I check everyday. I hope it gets here soon. I'm the driver so if my license expires, it would be a really big blow to us. Thanks for your response!

You could have filed 90 days before expiration.

I could have but I couldnt. I don't have a lot of spare time. I needed to gather more info and not very confident of the evidence I have in hand. And I don't have extra $590 readily available.
