My wife has filed an I-130 petition for me and I will be traveling to Naples-Italy for my medical. I am 69 and will probably be seventy by the time my visa is approved. I had a Green Card for some fifteen years which I gave up when I returned to Europe for family reasons so I went through the whole process already back in the mid 1970's. My concern is the vaccines I might be required to take now. Would they really require me to take any vaccines at my age?! It is very difficult to find an accurate record of the ones I have taken during my entire lifetime - I have no apparent health problems but sincerely worry that any unnecessary vaccine will itself do me more harm than good. Has anyone had to go thru this and what was the outcome?

As per the above, looks like you'll need the Td/Tdap, Varicella, Pneumococcal or Flu shot (depending on the season). If you already have records of these vaccines, they may or may not give these to you again.

I would also suggest researching these vaccines and asking your general practitioner any questions you may have.

The I-864 Affidavit of Support instructions state: Any intending immigrant who has earned or can receive credit for 40 qualifying quarters  does to need to file an AOS

I have earned more than 172 months of railroad retirement credits:  do I need to have an I-864 filed for me?    ( Not sure how RR monthly credits compare to SS credits.)
