Refused Entering after overstayed - Urgent help needed plsss

It isn't a crime to travel when pregnant, most countries will raise an eyebrow at a women who is near full term travelling internationally [passport-citizen shopping] this is not specific to the United States.

I'm surprised she was allowed entrance into the US.

She utilized US taxpayer resources [Medicaid] to give birth in the US as an alien. She owes US taxpayers anywhere from $5,000 to $30,000.

A B1/B2 visa good for 5 or 10 years does not guarantee entry to the country. It also doesn't mean you get to stay in the US for up to 5 to 10 years either. Each trip is limited to what the customs officer authorizes. She was given a very limited window of entry by immigration and she overstayed.

Your friend will probably never be able to visit the US again, however when the US Citizen son becomes an adult, he can move to the US and file an I-130 for his mother.

Because stories like these (come to US, gave birth, tourist visa cancelled! What should I do?... blah blah) come up too often, so it is no-brainer.

If one has travel insurance which covered the medical emergency, the visa would not be cancelled.

Maybe US govt should make travel insurance mandatory for tourist visa.

FWIW, when I visit my wife's country I'm required to purchase health insurance.

notice how those who steal from US taxpayers and abuse their visa privileges have a constant source of excuses for their behavior? And it's always the same? And there is never remorse, never a willingness to repay whatever expenses these people racked up that were paid by the American taxpayers? I agree with you on this.

Many people back in Ghana think they can come in and give birth then they will stay in the system.

While the taxpayer pays for their bills .

Deal should be if you are pregnant then no VISA should be given

Posting this for a friend in need of help

I overstayed in the United States because upon arrival I was given 2 weeks stay, though I had a 5yrs visa. Their reason was that I was pregnant and near my due date. I didn't know it was an offence to travel to the states when pregnant. Before my 2 weeks given would reach I visited the hospital because I was in pain, I was told by the doctor that I can deliver anytime soon. I explained my immigration status to the doctor and he advised I can't be on a plane due to risk of labour and so was given a letter to back it up.

I later had my baby and few months later returned home with my baby. 3yrs later was going on a visit and I was refused entry and my visa was cancelled n withdrawn, I applied for another visa with my son n daughter and was refused.

I want to know the way I can go about it and return to the states since my son is a US citizen?

It is not an offense when traveling pregnant but it is an offense when women travel with the purpose of giving birth in the USA

so they can have a USC child, which by the way does nothing but hinder another B2 in the future.

Look up birthing tourism. Gaming the system is never a bright idea.

If she indeed planned to deliver in the USA is mere speculation on my part but immigration surely sees it that way.

It depends on the country, but typically it is passed on by at least one parent (and in some cases only through the father) being a citizen of a particular country

There is nothing illegal with the birth tourism industry. There is a problem with certain sketchy establishments committing fraud and violating zoning codes, etc. But that isn't an issue with birth tourism per se.
