No because things have been trending for far too long. I get popped at the slightest hint of frustration in my response but people can talk about having slaves and not get popped?

Something stinks and it isn't me.

When there is a mod in a topic, I shouldn't have to hit the report button. The mod should put the mod hat on and remove it. People want to discuss topics but attempt to discuss these topics without our input on a public forum. They should do this on a closed Facebook group instead of coming here knowing we are going to comment. I dint care who the mod is friends with behind closed doors, it shouldn't show when posting.

Now we are consistently blamed for posting topics about race but there are plenty of topics we don't start. Then if we post a topic it is still turned into a thread about black people.

Be consistent and show fairness.

this is completely true. i saw the obvious baiting that went on this weekend, and it wasn't janelle doing the baiting. and yet janelle is the poster disciplined when the clear and again, obvious, attempts of certain vj posters to run her (and marvin) out of cehst are allowed to continue. mods don't remedy situation, instead they add gasoline to it. its almost like the mods are also working to rid cehst of janelle and marvin. hell, lets be real. that's whats happening.

fortunately, certain mods and the motley cru aren't the only people who see how inconsistent and unfair admin action has been with regards to the ongoing attempts to force you and marvin to feel so uncomfortable posting here because of your race, that you leave. i hope you don't give them what they want, but i don't blame you if you do.

i know one thing, cehst is going to look like a hotbed for racist fraternity if the cehst baiting games are allowed to go on unchecked.

The thing is we like being here to foster discussions about race, religion, and politics. I know things can get heated and that's to be expected when you're in a debate, but when it turns into a complete bait fest that has no real objective other than trying to get us specifically thread banned or kicked off the site then there's an issue. Especially when the people in question have such an extensive history of such language and behavior it shouldn't be allowed when you're fully aware of their intentions and they make a point not to hide it. Pretty sure we were one breath away from being called ninjas this weekend. They were trying so hard, it wasn't even racist anymore, just flat out pathetic. Or worse, it has become boring. The lack of imagination is staggering when racial taunts are the only choice you have when trying to insult someone.

If the TOS is going to be enforced, personal feelings need to be put aside and the right thing needs to be carried out. If you cool with the folks acting up, you need to check them before we do. That way no one has to get banned and folks know it's equal across the board. Because that kind of behavior doesn't belong here. Janelle's right, get a closed FB group so you can cut up unchecked. But I think because Janelle's such a force to be reckoned with(just like Maven, Val, and the rest of the women here) it's eating them up she's not taking the bait and sinking to their level.

I am fully going to admit that before I lived in a black community (we are pretty much smack dab in the middle of the hood here in Clearwater) I would not have agreed with many articles and opinions that Janelle has shared. It's out of my own ignorance really. Since being here/experiencing it I now can definitely see (especially with police) the racism that can occur (case and point: police showing up on scene to "investigate" a domestic violence call...they stayed in their car and waited until things calmed down). No, it doesn't happen every time, but it does happen.

I have disagreed with you at times and I have agreed with you at times as well. So I will say this if there is a violation of the TOS then yes it needs to get dealt with FIRMLY and FAIRLY on ALL SIDES. Not just one or two people and let the other people slide.

That is my biggest pet peeve being unfair and not treating people equally. We are all humans and need to be treated equally both good and bad. Please Do Not Leave.

Yes and people can disagree without getting nasty and constructively argue without bringing up race, religion and references to animals. Marv and I love talking about life issues and that's why we stay. I appreciate you for reaching out to me.

Ok, so what thread do I need to start about the rampant racism, anti-Muslim, anti-LGBT threads that get posted in CEHST? If the TOS is followed as it should be, these things wouldn't happen on a daily basis.

I'm sorry, but when I see threads where things such as this are said about Muslims, I have to ask why they are permitted to stay when other lesser comments get removed:

Or when talking about black people:

Now, here's the punchline. It's the same person making these comments. Not multiple posters, but just one person. A person, I might add who just last week got off of a lengthy suspension for, get this, doing the EXACT SAME THING. Making racist and vulgar posts towards myself and Janelle. He wasn't off suspension for 24 hours before he came right back into our threads and picked up right where he left off at. I mean, let's be real, this weekend him and a few posters made it a point to do everything in their power to bait us, using racially charged language in every thread they could find and made it about black people. I haven't seen so much outdated slang since those 90's movies with the racist old white dudes trying to be "hip". And it was REPORTED, but for some reason, that person is still here, cept since he couldn't rile us up with comments about black people, he's switched to talking about Muslims. It's a huge middle finger to this site and the moderation when you get out of the hole and go right back to doing business as usual.

How many times does it take before a permanent ban is in place? Because off the top of my head I know for a fact this has happened at least 3 times in the last 6 months. And ignoring it doesn't solve the problem. Just because we might be the only two black people here doesn't mean other people don't get offended when they read about welfare hogs and ghetto trash. Or baby killers and terrorists. Because when Janelle posts about the KKK, it gets removed and she's suspended. But others post about the KKK, or make sweeping generalizations about black people, Muslims, and Gays, it's allowed. And those who target the folks who post this mess, get removed for "baiting". She's been warned and suspended a few times this week in response to the dribble that's been allowed here.

Which brings me to signature blocks. Janelle's talks about eliminating racism and her signature block has a quote from the POPE. Yes, her signature block has a quote from the POPE himself on his current speeches. And she gets called out for it. But others have this in their signature:

A person who has said on several occasions they hate Muslims but this is accepted.

As Val and Janelle have stated, there's a clear difference in how things are handled here. We are scrutinized to the point where talking about race or religion in a place that used to be named politics and religion gets us called race baiters or complainers, but we get to see threads such as ‘No guns for Negros’ posted by a long term member who hasn't met a negative black or Muslim thread he couldn't wait to post here. It's a shame that we have to literally screen what we can post since if the thread happens to be about non minority people, we're called racists even though we never use the language that's used to describe black people, and if we post about black people and racism, we're trying to start a race war. I think that we should have a debate forum where it's no holds barred within reason. Kind of a don't go in there if you can't handle it place. Even baby centre has one. CEHST seems to be the closest thing we have.
