do you see the title of the thread love? that says "three current events involving politics and religion" so..in keeping with the op - i added to boiler's aggregate crime feed the breaking news from yesterday concerning a former us POLITICIAN, who is also a proud EVANGELICAL, that attempted to pay off the students he sexually abused.

if you don't want christian white people added to the discussion, i guess you could ask boiler to update the title. but i don't know how that will turn out for the thread, yaknow>

so i guess boiler shouldn't have added the additional news links (page 5)? because that brings the count to six ce involving P & R (ssshhhh only muslims) from the op.

to be precise, if we're not allowed to add to the conversation or post additional links related to the topics (not necessarily numbers) in the op then why was the title changed in the first place? the first title, like i've said previously, was more on point with the op's intentions with the thread. either it's baiting and you want to remedy that by allowing the topic to be broadened to include more than one singular group of people or you want to change the title but keep the thread focused on one singular group of people but hint hint wink wink? which is it.

Im wondering what an old gay white child molester has to do with this topic, other than if he did that here he'd be tossed off a tall building, not because anybody cares about the victim but in principle for being gay. Tossed for alla. Unless his victims were little girls. Then he'd be ok and they'd be lashed for alla.

I dont really see the gay community jumping up to condemn one of their own either. Kinda makes you wonder about those folks.

The thread topic says Current Events involving politics and religion. Val's posts fall under that category. Don't know why this is such an issue when I've seen threads that become about Muslims even when they're not the topic of discussion.

Suddenly we now realize what the two seemingly different stories comes from the same root of hypocrisy, which I think is what elitesthuglib was getting at all along. thank you. i had so much i wanted to say, but i don't want to end up with my posts removed simply for responding to posts that twist my opinions and thoughts. i don't think it serves VJ as an immigration site to negatively single out groups of people on a daily basis and make a mockery of decent people's religions. and yet..day and day out..

Didn't the same thing happen when the Duggers had that debacle happen a few months back? The GOP was quick trying to support that dude if I remember correctly.

Yep. And what you see publically (the evangelical talking soundbites) in the mainstream media isn't even the half of what is being spoken about and defended on numerous evangelical circles, media outlets, and 'Christian bloggers'.

I personally don't know a single Christian who defended him, but perhaps I'm just in a different circle of them
