Hi all,

I just start putting together all the information for a CR-1 visa, we were dined a fiancee visa in December last year. we just get married in her country.

I have a few questions;

1.- Do I need to send a copy of her birth certificate?

2.- what kind of evidence of bona fide marriage should I send?.

Thanks,

Yoel

Hi Yoel!

My husband and I are applying for the Cr1 and will be sending our completed I-130 in May, next month. We are sending the following evidence to show a bonafide relationship:

- a short summary of our story

-joint bank statements: from our checking and savings accounts

- utility statements in both our names

- title of vehicle in both our names

- Australian drivers license for my husband and I

- Superannuation beneficiaries

- Travel: all boarding passes to see each other, passport stamps, hotel receipts, movie tickets, vacations away together

- wedding receipts, cards given to us on the day of our wedding, celebrant invoice and receipts, photographer contract, emails from family overseas congratulating us

- letters and cards we sent to each other when we were apart, cards we gave to each other for xmas, valentines day, anniversaries, skype logs showing our long call times, facebook messages from the past and from now

- cards, letters and emails sent to us from friends and family overseas -- also scanned the envelopes they sent as it showed both our names and our address

- photographs of us together, with each others family, in front of famous landmarks, our wedding pictures, with friends

If you have a joint lease agreement, that would be handy too. We didnt, but our utility bills should be enough. Also, I skipped sending in affidavits as we had enough evidence and felt we didnt need them :)

I know people who send in less than this and get approved, so please dont feel overwhelmed by my list. We were initially planning on applying for an Australian visa, and was advised to collect this evidence for it. Luckily for us, we can also use it for our I-130! I wish you luck with everything! Maybe we'll be filing together :)
