Hi,

Yes. I got mine done 10 days in advance in Chennai and carried the sealed medical report with me to Mumbai. So yes, 10 days in advance is no big deal.

March 26, 2009: We become a couple!
September 10, 2009: Arrived for first meeting in-person!
June 17, 2010: Arrived for second in-person meeting and start of travel together to other areas of China!

December 8, 2010: Wedding date set; it will be on February 18, 2011!

January 28, 2014: Production of new Green Card ordered

February 3, 2014: New Green Card received; done with USCIS until fall of 2023*

December 18, 2023:  Filed I-90 to renew Green Card

December 21, 2023:  Production of new Green Card ordered - will be seeing USCIS again every 10 years for renewal

How many days after the exam did you get your results?

I got it at 5 pm the next day. I did the medical in chennai at apollo hospital and they told me to come the next day and get the sealed medical packet.

I was just about to post a question about this very thing! My husband is trying to decide if he should get his medical and fingerprinting done in the next couple of weeks in Chennai. When he goes to Mumbai he doesn't want to stress about doing anything else but prepare for his interview. I was going to have him call the Apollo hospital in Chennai to find out how quickly exam results are ready to be picked up.

N-400/Citizenship process:

Applied online: 9/06/2020

NOA1 received: 9/07/2020

Biometric: reuse letter received 1/19/2021

Interview: 5/12/2021 - APPROVED!!! 😃

Oath Ceremony: 6/04/2021

How come nvc doesnt tell .Us that we have to book the appointment for biometrics on our own?

The interview Letter i received says to review additional information on the US Embassy or Consulate website. When you go to the Mumbai Consulate website, the Packet 4 PDF is on the top right side. in there it says on the first page, step 3 about getting fingerprinting and photographs done.

Yes, biometrics, photo and medical can be done in chennai if you got the interview letter. I got my bio and photo taken at the Good shepherd building NVC in valluvar kottam and the medical was done at apollo heart center on greams road

02/21/2014-IV fee invoiced.

03/13/2014-Paid both AOS & IV fees.

03/17/2014-Both payments reflecting as PAID

03/24/2014-AOS packet mailed to NVC

04/02/2014-DS- 260 Completed

04/11/2014- False checklist

04/14/2014- CASE COMPLETE confirmed over the phone.

YOu,re welcome. If your wife is from Kerala the interview will be in Mumbai if its a family immigrant visa. So let her get to chennai for couple of days, finish her bio and med appointments and then go to Mumbai.

we were in Bangalore and interview was in Mumbai. we went to Mumbai 11 days prior to interview, did the medical, picked up the medical file the next day at 4pm. Then we did the biometrics 3 days before interview. We just took leave of 2 weeks and spent the time in Mumbai visiting some friends and preparing for medical/biometrics and interivew
