Green card enough?

My wife is a Russian national with her Russian International passport bearing her maiden name. Her Green card however is in her married name. When flying to Russia, should her ticketed name match her passport or green card? When returning to the US is her green card enough, or does she need additional documentation such as her marriage certificate?

Ticket and passport always have to match. I would bring the marriage certificate just i case.

The ticket has to be in the passport name.

As for her re-entry, her GC/Russian passport are enough. They've always worked for my wife when we have traveled and her GC and Colombian passports are in different last names. But, according to the CBP web site, if she has a US driver's license in her married name, that will work too. No need to carry a marriage certificate, especially the original, although a copy wouldn't hurt.

What documents do I need to present to reenter the United States?

If seeking to enter the United States after temporary travel abroad, you will need to present a valid, unexpired “green card” (Form I-551, Permanent Resident Card). When arriving at a port of entry, a U.S. Customs and Border Protection Officer will review your permanent resident card and any other identity documents you present, such as a passport, foreign national I.D. card or U.S. Driver’s License, and determine if you can enter the United States. For information pertaining to entry into the United States, see U.S. Customs and Border Protection’s webpage.

N-400

Feb. 12, 2016 - Sent N-400 to USCIS (3-year rule)

Feb. 19, 2016 - NOA1

Mar. 14, 2016 - Biometrics

June 2, 2016 - Interview - Recommended for Approval

She should bring her marriage certificate if her passport name is different from her GC name.

Good luck on your immigration journey.
