Another biometrics appointment?

Hi there,

I applied for AOS at the end of September/beginning of October (St Albans, VT).

We didn't submit the check for the biometrics because it wasn't clear we had to.

So this happened:

I received a letter saying I had to submit the check for the biometrics for my AOS

The same day I received a letter with a biometrics appointment for the work permit

I went to the biometrics appointment and received my work permit at the end of February

Today I received a letter inviting me to the biometrics for my AOS? Why do I have to do it a second time? And how long will it take from there to actually get my green card?

Transferred? No

I-751 Filed: 2018-06-06

I-751 NOA: 2018-06-29

Biometrics: Waived

Interview: 2019-XX-XX 

Approval: 2019-XX-XX

Card Received: 2019-XX-XX

 

Marriage : 2015-10-07 (L)

The page where you download the I-485 states the fees, and the form instructions on page 5 state them as well.

You will have to speak to the USCIS about the fact that you already did your biometrics. Things are probably all mixed up because of the delayed $85 bio payment.
