Alright guys, first of all I want to thank everyone who has helped me here since I joined this community. With your help and instructions, I gathered all documents for K-1 by myself (except what my fiancée had to sign and send to me), We got approved, and now we are preparing for interview. Interview is on 4/26 (we postponed it because we got approved and send to embassy much faster than we expected. 8 vs 3 months). We are going over all papers now. I’m 100% sure we got everything but could you check us anyway..

I sent her

  • copy of entire petition papers
  • new letter of intent
  • new proof of relationship (chat, skype pictures)
  • new passport size pictures
  • copy and response of/to RFE
  • copy and translation of birth certificate
  • i-134 (embassy doesn’t require this, but I sent it anyway)

She has

  • appointment letter (from embassy)
  • new letter of intent
  • police certificate
  • new passport size pictures
  • copy and translation of birth certificate
  • ds-160
  • she will do medical exam on 25th and get the result the same day

we have gathered all document from packet 4 instructions except med.exam

I cleaned My Timeline. Hope nobody minds

Every embassy requires the I-134 and documentation for the K1. I hope you sent at least the last tax return and some pay stubs. She did not need your passport pictures. She did not need your birth certificate. Have you ever been married before? If so then she would need your original divorce decree as well.

I've read the instructions from the link you posted many times.. here read this

Evidence of financial support (Form I-134, Affidavit of Support, may be requested)

I've NEVER seen it not required at a K1 interview on this website.

Proof of Financial Support and Affidavit of Support Forms

During the visa interview, applicants will be required to present evidence to the consular officer that they will not become a public charge in the United States. You may present evidence that you are able to financially support yourself or that your U.S. citizen fiancé(e) is able to provide support. The Consular Officer may request that a Form I-134, Affidavit of Support be submitted by the U.S. citizen fiancé(e).

Like I said though, I've seen from London that people can submit evidence of self support but that's the only embassy in which I've seen this done.

Yeap, do update us on your interview and best of luck!

NLR: yeap, only some embassies accept self support, Singapore is one of them too, they also accept self support but its a 5 times of it. During my interview in Singapore, my husband got a new job and I was told by the officer that he needs to complete a full year of employment to meet the poverty requirements, so I took out my own savings, bank book and said I was able to support myself financially and he took my bank statements and documents and said that will do. Even though we filled out as hes the sponsor for affidavit of support.

I know its been asked for at Canadian consulates via posts on VJ. Check your P3 checklist. I would have it vs not for interview but what you do is your choice.
