Where everybody go.....

People have lives, you know.

Got a quote to remove the big tree in our back yard that has two trunks for $1100. Seems higher than what I remember, but they are an actual tree company with proper insurance and stuff.

Come to think of it, maybe I see why - it is almost completely over the driveway, the garage, part of the house, and the playset. They can't just drop the pieces.

Lives schmives....

Yapping to your ole buddies is a part of life, right?

Anyway, I'm glad you took my advice, and stopped hugging trees. More so, you appear to have declared war on them.

Now....

1100 marklan dollars! What are they ###### crazy?!

Go get Dutch an Echo chainsaw. Or a more economical Poulan, have him tether the branches in rope, cut the marklan tree down. And you get a chainsaw and firewood out of it...

He told me he could do it, but our old chainsaw crapped out last year and he's not eligible for disability yet. I'd rather pay money than endanger the life/health of the sole breadwinner. Plus, it would be like a new good chainsaw plus renting a bucket truck plus all the time.

You don't need a bucket. Climb the tree, use a safety harness if you want, tether the branches, cut 1 section at a time.

Your chainsaw crapped out because you probably didn't put StarTron in the gas, and the ethanol in the gas gummed up, turned into varnish. And it's clogging the carburetor jets.

To remedy, remove carb, soak in a product called "Seafoam" for a couple of days, reinstall the carb. If you can, stick a needle to clean the jets and ports. I bet you it cranks right up afterwards.

You always put Startron in equipment with small engines, or a car or boat that you don't use for a long time.

Or, you can run the thing dry of gas every time you use it.

I use both of these products on the ATV's. Chainsaws, the boat, and the Yukon.
