Oh man that sucks. Well it's probably the stress from the job she left messing with her. At this point it's been what 2 weeks or is that 3 weeks late, I don't think that she's pregnant if the digital is coming back negative.

It's just the first month of actually trying but don't wait to long to get her into the doctors to get test ran. If she is over 30 go after 6 months, if over 35 go after 3 if she is closer to 40 go now! Do not wait like they say most OB's will tell you to try for 6 months over 35 and a year if you're under but do not wait.

Well she's not 40 yet, but she can see it from where she's at.

From reading an article on how the pregnancy tests work, it is impossible to get a color change unless there is HCG present. It will never be present unless an egg is fertilized. This doesn't mean the egg will continue to develop or be held, but it does mean step one worked. So either she's holding the fertilized egg and its developing, or she's not. By next weekend we should have a reliable result. We actually didn't expect the positive, because she did start her period, but it was like only a partial period, just spotting for a few days. Implantation? Everything is totally not normal for her, and she's usually very spot on cycle wise with a long heavy period. I do think the stress she went through totally threw her cycle off, but she has a hard time believing that as previous stress in her life has never thrown her cycle off. Only time will tell. We're slightly hopeful it will go hard positive by next weekend, but ready for it to be negative too. Her GP said she'd refer her if we have any trouble getting her pregnant at all. I think we'll give it a couple of months first before resorting to extra help.

Now show us a pic...

Or it never happened. What never happened anyway?

She took a digital test the next morning, and we got a negative. We're going to wait until next weekend before testing again. If she is pregnant, she should have a fair amount more HCG to create a hard positive by then. Or if its just a flushing out egg, the HCG should be totally gone by then. Now we just have to see if she keeps to that schedule or drives herself nuts testing

FRERs for real. Or just stock up on some Wondfos.

The digital test isn't as sensitive.

These are mine from last time, FRERs on the left and Wondfos on the right. 10DPO would have been 4 days before I was due and 14 dpo when I was. Don't click if you don't want to see my pee sticks, mmk?

Read as much as she wants, but I've got false positives on blue dye tests before, so have plenty of other women.

But, seriously, wondfos. http://www.amazon.com/Wondfo-Pregnancy-Strips-25-count-medical/dp/B0002YIQEQ/ref=sr_1_1_a_it?ie=UTF8&qid=1463406980&sr=8-1&keywords=wondfo+pregnancy+test

Yes that is right, could be implantation but could be a chemical pregnancy.

She may be off for a bit now, I'd let her be this this month to get back on track then try to get her into the doctors.

You may want to check to see if the the specialists have a wait to get in and don't go to a regular OB got to an actual fertility doctor.

If she is pushing 40 her options are getting limited on the steps they will take.

Sorry been there and I'd hate for her to lose time like I did.

I just ordered them. It will save me some money over the Walmart ones.

BTW I noticed the First Response pink test warns false positives are possible. The blue tests don't have the same warning. But with any of them, unless we can get consistent positives, we're not going to assume she's really pregnant, at this point its a might be and only God really knows. Which was the same attitude we took before the test.

Sounds like you need some bird netting around them. Then you can grill up the captured birds every night too.
