I think rear facing for 5 years is ridiculous

I think the little Dane is already 32 or 33 inches, so 37 inches doesn't seem that far away.

I don't remember how tall my daughter was at 5. She's 7 and 53" now.

I don't know how many car seats I've bought. Lost count. Tiff always have everything to the Gumps, and her friends. When turtle was born, I had to get everything new.

But wouldn't it have been nice, if my kid can save her caterpillar rocker for her baby someday?

The bassinet, tiff gave it to her sister Gump daughter. When turtle was born, my SIL brought it back. It was full of graffiti, from little Gump...

Bottle warmers, sanitizers, high chairs, walkers, baby gates, play pens, at least gave away 2-3 of each.

The recommendation is 2

The Tornado is 44" I would have her rear facing if our old seats would have fit side by side with both rear facing.

Thats the recommendation. Lol

I think a lot of that must depend on height and weight, a lot of 5 year olds wouldn't be safe to rear face in any seat. I think we had switched to a booster by 5. We still use a booster, but I notice a lot of kids her age here don't and sit in the front seat. I'm a stickler for safety.

Well Scandinavian children ya know... monster the lot of them. Lol

Only the little one is Scandinavian. The older one is like 1/4 Dutch, 1/8 English, 1/8 Irish, 1/8 German, 1/8 Slovak, and 1/4 Filipino or something like that.

Wow man...

My older one is 50" now.

The turtle is 30

Yeah, at 53", she is about smack dab in the middle of height for her year at school here. They are tall. :wow:

Kiddo sat in the back seat until 12ish.

Shes 5' now. My tiny kiddo grew into a big un. Yay

Fyi i meant 2 was the recommendation and the 5 year comment was facetious. ;)

From my law enforcement days.....

Yes car seat requirements are based on height and weight.

If you're driving a mediocre car, I say have a better seat. In a highly rated larger car, the child is more protected by the car itself.

It might have been too long between kids anyway wit the car seats. I think my one for my daughter would have expired before the little Dane was born and the convertible was pink, so that wouldn't have done. We've got 3 at the moment sitting around.

I think you should insist on keeping whatever you want. I keep the sentimental stuff and anything we might need for another. I swear that half of my basement is baby stuff, when we are finally done, we will have so much more room.
