My current glasses were $900... The sunglasses were $600. Thankfully insurance covered all but like $10 of the regular ones.

next pair is likely to be more since I need a prism in my glasses.

Two things I hate about this forum.

a) the country flag on occasion. Because someone will throw up a country flag like Canada, but meanwhile they're not Canadian, just living there for whatever reason. I'm not sure if the flag is supposed to represent the nationality of the beneficiary OR the country in which immigration benefits are being sought. It would be nice if it was more clear and I wish it was the former not the latter. We should have a spot on the profile that also puts down location where immigration benefits are being sought if the country flag is indeed nationality based.

b) people who pm for help. No... I don't want pms for help. ask on the forum. everyone gets to know the answer. Unless what you're asking is really private in nature, but still, i'm a stranger on the internet...

Why, may I ask, do you insist on trying to send Tark into ventricular fibrillation?

Why do you allow him to muddy up your thread with P-math?

I absolutely loathe when people drag their kids out to beg for money. Maybe you lost yer job, but begging for money isnt getting a new one. Your kids are sitting here, in a parking lot, 80+degree weather. Take them to a park to play or something... ticks me off.

Tiff pissed me off again. Comes to me with a Facebook page, "look, Carmen takes dancing lessons, I want the kid to do it too".

I'm like, why are you trying to keep up with them? Our kid tried it, she doesn't like it.

Then she has the gall to deny that she's monkey see monkey do. Flies off the handle.

So I get all pissed off.

When you point to a ###### FB page, and you say "I want my daughter to do that too". That's ###### monkey see monkey do!

Again. Tiff wants to be like her ###### idiot friends. No ###### brains.

I've been using reading glasses for 4 or 5 years but have had a problem with them either not being powerful enough or seeming like the lenses were tilted wrong. Turns out that it is because one strength is too low and the next one is too high for one of my eyes so it throws it off. I read several books a week, so it is a quality of life issue for me and recently I've been unable to read small print books without glasses. My mother uses pretty strong reading glasses, so this is no surprise, but the optometrist told me it has to do with some part of the eye being less flexible as you get older.

I'm pretty close to weaning at the moment too, I'm done with one side because I couldn't take the bleb of doom that wouldn't go away and the other I'm down to two or three times a day. The little Dane seems to be able to drink whole milk now without issue.

Ok that makes sense. I never wore glasses before so getting them was not recommended unless it was really needed. I just fight through it although I also didn't expect to nurse for 2 years if I planned it I would have got the darn glasses. Seeing what I eat would be much better, reading is hard but I just hold the book out some :P

Anything coming from you would be best in a PM then she can ignore it :P

Kids have to try lots of sports to find ones they like.

My brother and sister stopped at baseball.

I stopped at horseback riding.

Kiddo likes basketball and archery.

Her dad was a swimmer.

Hubs played baseball but should've played soccer.

That's not even the point. The point is, shes monkey see monkey do. She's ###### retarded.

She doesn't even realize that she's the one in position to set the standard for others to follow suit.

Her friends can only wish.

Yeah ok, so Carmen can dance. My daughter is top of her class.

And maybe in 20 years, Carmen can go to clubs every ###### night while my daughter has a doctorate.
