Look at those little monsters! WOOT! Thanks for sharing!

I planted some veggies and some flowers. So I've had to water those everyday.

Went to the eye dr and finally got a prescription. Told him I can't afford vision therapy. My vision plan only allows for once a year exams, lenses and frames.

Went to the dentist today to fix an old filling and get a new one. $64. Wasn't too bad, but I needed extra freezing and now my mouth hurts. A bit of a bottom tooth broke off a while ago and they want to put a crown on it. $484... OUCH!!

Can someone tell me why my husband can't clean anything? He was home sick today btw, from food poisoning from mcdonalds.

FIL called confirming his flight... again...

I really need to go to the eye doctor soonish. I noticed this week that I couldn't watch a movie on TV because I was straining too hard to read the subtitles. No bueno.

That is really cheap for a dentist. I think I have always paid upwards of 100 for a filling and around 800 for a crown. That doesn't include the root canal, though.

My husband doesn't understand cleaning. He doesn't think it is a necessary part of life.

Yeah I heard that Dutch people have very poor personal hygiene....

Sorta like Texans, and Hillbillies, and French people....

And Canadians.

And Polish people....

And Singaporeans....

We have a really good dental plan. The charge for the crown is more than twice what the plan covers though. But I really like this dentist and her staff so I don't mind paying more. This was the first filling I've had since I was a kid where they didn't strap what felt like a torture device to my face. I didn't have metal clamps over my teeth holding some rubber down that make all my teeth hurt later... I just sat there with my mouth open and she did her work. We talked while waiting for more freezing about computer gaming and I got to watch bob ross on netflix. (###### LOVE Bob Ross!!!!)

Oh yeah, that thing was what made me fear the dentist and not go for like 10 years. It was really traumatic because often I have difficulty breathing through my nose and I was like gasping for air. Then, it would get stuck on my teeth because they had to use really small ones because I have like the shortest/tiniest teeth. Uggghhhh. Nightmare.

I was having really good dental experiences as an adult until we got to MN. This guy way over numbs my top and undernumbs the bottom. I think he also uses a numbing agent with a stimulant (maybe epinephrine) because both times I went, I had the worst ever panic attacks in the chair and was sure I was going to die. The second time I at least warned him not to put as much in the top. Having my nose and eyes numb for hours was disconcerting.

Can you find a new dentist?

Can you find a new dentist?

Yeah, I think I'll be going to a different one next time. This was just really convenient because he was in town, but I'm not impressed.

The epinephrine thing isn't his fault, I think I just have a strong reaction to it. I had a similarly strong reaction with my last c-section with whatever they used before they cut me open - I probably spent 5-10 minutes telling them I thought I was going to die and couldn't breathe. Maybe an opiate, maybe a stimulant? I have no idea. I totally don't get why people do drugs.
