That's an excellent idea! Get the boys to do the roof and they'll be much better set in the future for these kind of home repairs.

Except one boy moved out and left town

One boy is out of town doing a study on the Strawberry river so he's gone 4 day a week. Comes home for 3 and works those 3 at Home Depot. Oh trust me my boys can fix things.

Leaves me with the younger of the older boys and he works also and it's still too much work for the two of us.

Stretch, you can do this, even slowly, cut away one section at a time and tarp it in anticipation of the rain......

If I were you stretch, I'd book a short holiday to an island resort for myself, disappear for a week and let him stew/sink. He needs a wake up call.

I have a card of a retired guy that does roofs and such. He would be the guy I would pick but the Hillbilly hasn't even looked at the guys card.

Oh I'm letting him stew in it alright. He hasn't been able to sleep because now he's freaking out and worried the roof is going to cave in.

I'm going to sit back and watch the guys work and then he can get himself a second job to stew some more.

I do not feel the tiniest bit sorry for him atm.

The inlaws are hopeless. They don't live that far and if we are lucky we see them a few times a year.
