I go an auburn, but it looks like a real red on the box. I've got really long hair and it takes two boxes if I haven't done it in a while, one box if I do it again within 6 weeks.

Oh it would take more then 3 boxes Not only is is long but super thick too. I wouldn't do auburn every time my sisters did it just looked too purple for me.

I would need to get it professionally done as I would go like Julia Roberts Red so not something I would risk on my own. Maybe one day if I ever cut it I would. But I really doubt it I'm not one to want to spend a lot on my hair or time with it so it's something that will never happen.
