Would appreciate some guidance on this matter.

I find rulings by certain mods rather arbitrary...and in fact threatening.

The stuff I posted was hardly "playboy" material but can be found in any school book on modern art.

Umm that is not very specific...so any modern art or representation of the female form is verboten? I would suggest only a crude mind would find the pictures I uploaded crude/lewd.

Kate Moss was not naked btw.

Once again Ewok does not address my concerns I note...so

Modern art garbage pic now.....

Lol Steve,,,,will pm you with my "secret stash" that I took when visiting the Met and MOMA , plus I have some from the Louvre;)

This is not about this particular event that happened but in general the moderators have widely different interpretations of the TOS and some are even very biased and no one cares. So just accept it was removed and try to forget and move on. It's not worth getting upset about because none of them cares. I tried to voice my concern about this months ago and I'm still waiting for a reply.

Thanks. I'm not upset, just incredulous as to recent events

I am just curious as to the mindset that would remove the pics I posted.

Mods are Gods

Heresy to challenge their view.

“If you know the enemy and know yourself, you need not fear the result of a hundred battles. If you know yourself but not the enemy, for every victory gained you will also suffer a defeat. If you know neither the enemy nor yourself, you will succumb in every battle.”

Moderators. The term moderator refers to a member at VisaJourney that has the following additional "moderation" abilities to interact on the discussion forums compared to non-moderator members: Closing Topics, Moving Topics, Temporarily Removing Topics or Posts from Public View and Temporarily Limiting Access to the discussion forums by other members. These additional abilities are only used when when a Moderator believes that a member's activity or Posted content on the discussion forums does not comply with the VisaJourney TOS. VisaJourney does not actively monitor the use of these "moderation" abilities by Moderators, however if a member disagrees with a Moderators use of these "moderation" abilities they may contact VisaJourney and request that the Moderators actions be reviewed. The final decision on whether to reverse or alter a Moderator's action(s) will be decided at the sole discretion of VisaJourney.

A moderator, being a MEMBER of VisaJourney, is in no way affiliated, paid by, or otherwise compensated by VisaJourney. Moderators have no control over the operation or presentation of VisaJourney other than their existing member and "moderation" abilties on the discussion forums. These limited abilities should in no way imply a relationship or affiliation with VisaJourney beyond any other member of the board. Their actions and liabilities are fully bound by the TOS. Any opinions or statements made by a moderator do not necessarily reflect the opinions or beliefs of VisaJourney. Moderators receive no compensation of any kind from VisaJourney.

Au contraire, many French words are used in English.

Something you need to be au fait with.

Eso es versed (That is true) as with many words/phrases that English, particularly American English. But (pero), I would suggest that forum etiquette (courtesy) should be followed by VJ forum members, new and veteran. Wouldn't you agree?

Hmm

Well it is is going to require much greater thought composing posts, but there will be many that can be reported.

I am going to have to think of Spanish words used in English that also have a current English alternate, Fiesta and Burro?

The ones that you mention are not.

I always understood the VJ ius cogens to require English.

“If you know the enemy and know yourself, you need not fear the result of a hundred battles. If you know yourself but not the enemy, for every victory gained you will also suffer a defeat. If you know neither the enemy nor yourself, you will succumb in every battle.”

I like how the mod says he can be disagreed with, then decides that English words are not English and asks others to abide.
