Yes, i had filed an i 130 petition under F2A classification back in march 2016, California service center is handling my case, i live in Florida.

At the same time, i had filed N400 for my naturalization in order to speed up the NVC process since i will jump from F2A to CR/IR 1

Could someone please explain the process? I believe i'm at the right place since I filed my application end of April. My spouse is a US permanent resident and I'm a Canadian citizen. The only timeline I could find on this website is about CR1 or IR1. Is there one for f2a?

As you can see, I'm confused. I believe that at the i130 level, it takes 5 months to get approved. How long does it take after that for the NVC stage?

Thank you so much.

Dida

Im back, how i said im a f2a filer with priority date march 25-2016, my i 130 got approved on july 18-2016, 115 days after.

Around august 2016, i got a letter from uscis stating that they will forward my case to NVC since my case got aproved.

Around 12 of september 2016 i got another letter from NVC stating that they will forward my case to the consulate of U.S. Down in my country (colombia) where my wife resides.

Eventually in october 2016, i got my last letter stating that my case is already in the u.s. consulate in bogota colombia already with a new case number.

I had called NVC to find out whats my next step, they verify my uscis case wac×××××××× my name, the beneficiary's name, then they said i have to wait until my case get about to get current, about 2 months before since i am a f2a filer for further process
