Time for another of my silly questions. On the K1 - Checklist Form for the Australia Interview, at the bottom it wants...

Please provide the U.S. address of where you wish for your green card to be mailed:
Your visa cannot be issued without this information.
Name of occupant: ______________________________________ Telephone #: ___________________
Address (including Zip Code): ___________________________________________________________
___________________________________________________________
The part confusing us is the name of occupant? Shouldn't that be the name of the beneficiary (my fiance from Australia) who would be getting the greencard in the future? Or do they want the name of the petitioner who lives there (me)?
Thank you!

Someone getting a K-1 visa will not be issued a green card after US entry like someone entering with a spousal visa will. You will have to apply for AOS in order to obtain a green card. I would think that part does not apply to a K-1 applicant.

~ Moved from K-1 Process to Australia and New Zealand regional - topic is specific to Australia interview process ~

I am well aware we have to do the AOS, but the form is specifically a k1 checklist and specifically says it needs to be filled out with that information. Thank you though. I have gotten the answer we need from others who have gone through the Australian consulate.

Can you post the answer here? I bet future Australian K-1 applicants will be equally confused
