Question about renewing temporary employment authorisation

I got an email yesterday saying that my temporary employment authorisation has been approved and that my card/documents are being sent to me. Awesome news! I just have one question. The temporary authorisation lasts for three months, and I need to renew this until my green card is approved. How long does this renewal take? Does it take as long as the initial application?

I thought the card was valid for 1 year. Check the expiration date once you get it.

I think average processing is less than 3 months but, it varies for each service center.

You can check the processing times by going to the service center and looking for I765: https://egov.uscis.gov/cris/processTimesDisplayInit.do

Agreed my wifes EAD is 1 year.

Oh wow I was completely wrong then. I could have sworn I'd read many times they last only 3 months. Looks like 3 months is for K-1 applicants and not people applying for AoS... That's even better, then! Thanks
