A radio staion was doing a on site this morningon my way to work, the dj had on a green kilt( those little short shirts the guys wear) ha

Take it from me....GO TO THE AOS INTERVIEW DATE ANYWAY!!!!! EVEN IF YOU GET THE SNAIL MAIL NOTICE!!!

August 2009--Permanent Resident Card arrives!!!!

We are Finished with Immigration for 10 years!!!!

Umm, actually kilts are both Scottish AND Irish. More common in Scotland perhaps, but worn in Ireland too. Apparently in Wales too, though I never saw a Welshman wearing one when I was living in Swansea. Oh, just a little St. Patrick Day factoid for you - Patrick was actually Welsh.

Oh, I love that mall!

That's one thing about Egyptian ladies...they sure can coordinate. I get in a colorful mood when I'm there buying all kinds of colorful scarves and galabiyas. When I'm home I stick to neutrals..black, brown, grey and ivory.

Funny! I am more about colors when I am home EXCEPT when travelling for business . . . easier to coordinate the neutrals and pack a smaller bag. I have been trying to pack with less color for Egypt so I will NOT attract attention. Then I go into these shops and spot the array of colors, LOL!!! When I look out on the streets it seems that there are still a lot of black clad women! City Stars Mall had a lot less black and many more colors . . . and sparklies on those scarves!!! I think it can all depend on what part of Cairo you happen to wander around in.

Funny thing about that mall . . . almost a retreat from the usual Cairo clamour and din of constant traffic and honking horns. Almost hassle free too . . . except for the part with all the touristy souvenir stuff, hehe!!
