I don't like any of the candidates Rep or Dem as of yet. All I know is that Hillary is the worst of the bunch. I would rather see anyone than her win.

beammeup, if Christ came back tomorrow, you'd be pissed off that he wasn't a registered Republican, wouldn't you?

Canadians don't count in this discussion they have the queen's dress covering their heads.

The Aussies know what is at stake and support the war as do the Brits.

Australians also know the meaning of being "on the dole" and don't like it. They also don't like illegal aliens.

They also know that English is the official language of their great nation - if you want to move there better learn it.

Libertarian is what I would call them - and I would be proud to be an Australian right now.

My 6 ancestors from Germany (all brothers) arrived in Maryland in 1770 and fought in the Revolution against England. The English sympathizers fled to Canada. Do you notice a difference between the two?

The Aussies are a tougher lot being independent minded like most Americans used to be. England is an ally because of the ties with the U.S. - mostly centered around oil and the middle-east and the future. Some say that (ironically) England has become somewhat of a colony of the U.S.

It has become so Liberal in the U.S. that George W. Bush is a Liberal RINO (Republican in Name Only). When he took office "Compassionate Conservatism" was "code" for "hey, I'm a Liberal". The only difference is that 9/11 completely changed/interrupted his program somewhat.

Are there any Reagan Republicans left in the United States? I don't know, haven't been there for 3 years. Sounds to me like a lot of you there in North America just want a "handout" ........ kind of like the beggars in the Philippines.

If you really want to get down to it, liberal means reform, change or progress. In that sense, both sides are liberal, they want to change the country to thier own ideal. Neither ideal is very good, both have thier issues. In my opinion, the goverment is better off when the congress is in control by one party, presidency the other party, and the court blanced equally between liberals, conservatives and moderates.

That way proposals favoring one side over the other have very little chance to go through.
