I do not think being gay is right or wrong because its not my place to judge. What Im trying to figure out is why pple say they were born gay and some say they turned gay. :bonk: :bonk: :bonk:

Okay here is the deal can anyone in this forum tell us all when they decided they were going to be attracted to the same sex or the opposite sex. If u cant think of when " exact moment" or how u came to the conclusion of what your choice is, then could it be that the choice was made for you??

Oh boy....the old nature vs. nurture debate.

Everyone has preferences, trying to figure out the underlying cause is an endless pursuit.

Um....you won't see to many gays here since this is a forum for people trying to get marriage based visas.

But to answer your question I have a close relative that is gay and it seems to me he was that way from birth.

All of the people I know that are gay would say they have been since birth. I think the majority of the gay community feels this way. Maybe when people say they "turned" gay, they just mean that this is when they came out of denial or just simply came out of the closet. But I'm really no expert so who the heck can really tell?!

Gay people are born gay but may suppress it to comply with social norm . As they get older that don't feel the need to hide and then come out. The amount of time will vary for people to come out

"The fact that we are here today to debate raising America’s debt limit is a sign of leadership failure. It is a sign that the U.S. Government can’t pay its own bills. It is a sign that we now depend on ongoing financial assistance from foreign countries to finance our Government’s reckless fiscal policies."

 Well said.

As for me - I knew I was attracted to women at the age of about 5 when I first watched Ginger on Gilligan's Island. I later outgrew the sultry type when I was about 12 when I stumbled onto my older brother's Playboy with Bo Derek. Then there was Phoebe Cates' topless scene in Fast Times at Ridgemont High...ah, the list goes on...sigh.

Whats that? Curious you say?

Homosexuality begins in the womb. Its alll about which hormones are delivered, how much of the hormones, and at which stage of development they are delivered. Homosexuals, hetrosexuals, transsexuals are all made this way. i.e. if at the physical development stage there is a lot of testosterone then the body will be male but if there is not enough testosterone at the brains developmental stage then the mind will be female and you end up with someone who is man outside and woman inside.

i agree totally and have had clients who tried to live the straight life but had no sexual attraction to their partner

and reported they were that way since they could remember and wished that weren't due to the pain in their live and the pain they have caused their partner ...they tried and could not continue living a lie

But when we turn to the Hebrew literature, we do not find such jokes about the donkey. Rather the animal is known for its strength and its loyalty to its master (Genesis 49:14; Numbers 22:30).

I remember I went to school with this boy (5th grade) and I swear to God, if it hadn’t been because they made us form lines (boys on one and girls on others) I would’ve sworn this kid was a girl. His mannerisms, his physical features, and the interrelation with the girls (specially at that age where kids don’t mix). And I also remember being confused about how to treat him. Ever since I’ve thought that gay people are definitely born that way.

Then again, there’s people that are into ‘trying’ different things, and they swing both ways just for the heck of it. I don’t think those were born that way.

As I understand it bisexuality is indeed the same as any other sexual orientation, something you are born with.

I'm of the opinion that people are born being attracted to one gender or the other (or both?). I can appreciate a woman saying a guy is handsome but I can't imagine myself being attracted to him in a sexual way. I might look at him and say I wish I looked like that but I can't ever seem myself imagining I was *with* that. Now Salma Hayek on the other hand...
