can any one help share experience to me ?pls! I was ask my parents get the Non-marital status certificate for me in my hometown,which is my hukou registered.but the local civil affairs bureau told my parents to get this proof need me in person go back hometown to get it ,because they need my finger print,is that so ? or there has another way ? because I work in different city ,which is not convenient for me

Hi,

For some cities, you can't get the marital status certificate. Like me, I'm from Fujian province. I called the local 公证处 and they told me that marriage in the USA can't get the notarization of marital status. However, you can make an unmarried declaration. They can notarize that for you.

As to police certificates, you need to go back to your hometown and get it done by yourself. Because as you said, they need to collect your finger prints. So...

Each city may be different I think. In ShuoZhou my Fiance had to obtain her Single Status Certificate from the Marriage Registration Office, this is a branch of the Civil Affairs Bureau, so I would have expected your city to do the same, I would ask them where you can go to get this document.

It is just a document indicating that you have not registered a marriage with them.

I called local 公证处 before I went back to my hometown. And the stuffs who work there will let u know what do they need to get you the documents. As to the unmarried declaration, 公证处 has examples for you. So if i were you, I would call 公证处 first.
