Here I am again...

The US postal service assigned a new permanent address to our property...

it was a Rural Route address, and municipality changed to a "city-style" address for 911 purposes.

I did send my I-751, already went for biometrics....so I think I will need to update the address...

I still live in the same place, they will still mail stuff with the outdated address, but the

USPS requests that we use the new address in all correspondence. So gotta change everything

Oh my....unbelievable...This immigration process is getting the best of me.

what forms do I need to get? Do I need to send another I-751 too? do

File AR-11, and I-865, then call USCIS and correct the address with them to the new address, and call them again to confirm.

It sounds like the post office will continue using your old address, but prefers that you get it changed for future letters.

OUR TIME LINE Please do a timeline it helps us all, thanks.

Is now a US Citizen immigration completed Jan 12, 2012.

What is the I-865 for?

My husband is the Citizen, I'm the immigrant...

As immigrant I'm not sponsoring nobody, so, I dont think I need to do the I-865? is that correct?

the I-865 is the "Sponsor's Notice of Change of Address"

your husband needs to file the I-865 because he is your sponsor...........

and if you have a case pending when your address changes you should file those forms but also call it in...

I was told that filing those forms doesn't officially change your address... it just lets them know where you are....

If you are not a U.S. citizen and you have a case pending with USCIS, you will need to do both - call customer service at 1-800-375-5283 and complete the paper AR-11. Completing an AR-11 does not update your address on any pending case. Also, notifying customer service does not meet the legal requirement of completing an AR-11.
