hi everyone , i will be submitting my i751 this month.

I am nervous , can anyone tell if the following list of proof is sufficient . thanks in advance

2 years house lease with both names

3 years tax return filled together

last years auto insurance with both names.

2 affidavits from family . (not notarized). if its important to get notarized. then I can get it done.

my pay stubs showing married

few checking account statements - joined . (including the recent month statement)

my job offer letter

family photographs , travelled to 5 states together . pics with land marks

I had credit card with both our names. but got closed last year due to bad credit score.

also we had our tmobile phone contract together . but it closed due to bad credit or finance situation. can I just add the contract even though its disconnected.

It's a bit thin. What about joint utility bills, life insurance, health insurance, 401 K or other work related papers,

power of attorney, wills.

Include the T-mobile phone contract and CC's with an explanation. Any new joint cell or home phone bills ?

They want to see joint account bank statements from the inception of marriage not just recent ones.

Hotel receipts from your vacations.

Affidavits can but don't have to be notarized.

- life insurance

- auto insurance

- health insurance

- rental insurance

- brokerage and/or 529 plan statements

- 401k statement

- Transcripts (make sure you include these in addition to you tax returns)

- W2s Transcripts (make sure you include these in addition to you tax returns)

- Affidavits and Photos carry low weight. However, include them if you like. Also, you can include letters from your employer if they know/met your wife and can state that on official letterhead.

Bank Statement - quarterly or for every six months should be enough. Just make sure that you cover the period under review with the span of statements you include. No need to include every single statement. USCIS gets it with few statement that if you are joint account holder in June-2015 and Sept-2015 then your account had join ownership in between.

I agree with members here, you need more documents proving co-mingling finances.

Do you have a joint loan (we submitted our HVAC loan for example)? Home insurance or renters insurance?

Children born in the marriage? If yes, you can submit birth certificates maybe?

Umm.. How about membership cards? Life insurance stating you as beneficiary?

Any stocks/shares you own together? Or... Medical power of attorney?

Any pets you own together? Some members included papers of joint pet ownership/adoption, hospital bills.

I hope these ideas will help you. Good luck

Well then get one! It's never too early. Something could happen tomorrow and it's needed. I've known people who have had policies since birth. It's important insurance.

Renters insurance is important to protect you in case of a break in or natural disaster, life insurance in case of any sort of accident, health insurance is mandatory.
