NVC just received our case. What now?

Hey guys so NVC just received our case on the 15th and just heard today. Nothing in the mail as of yet but they told me it will be sent to his Embassy in Trinidad in a few days. What do I do from here? I checked the site with our case number and it gave me some information to follow the 6 steps but sounds like I have to pay another fee? Or they just talking about the visa fee for the other party but sounds like it has to be paid from US bank? That doesnt seem right. Im pretty confused and want to get this going as smoothly as possible. I was told just send my documents to my fiance and he will have to contact the embassy or they will contact him.

Fiance Visa Cost

There are two main required cost when it comes to applying for a K-1 Fiance visa:

– $340 will be paid when the I-129F form is filed with USCIS

– $265 will be paid to the U.S. consulate before the fiancé attends the consulate interview*

These are the only required fiance visa cost that you will pay directly to the U.S. government for the K-1 fiancé visa.

Thank you for that information. So how does he pay the 265? Will that be in the information sent from nvc to him? Or the embassy to him? Idk why it was saying all kinds of information

When the NVC sends your packet to the Trinidad embassy, you will get an email stating same. Once Trinidad embassy receives the packet, you are advised on further instructions by said embassy. Then you must go to this link to register your k1 visa appointment:

Select Permanent Visa and follow the steps from there.

There's also the medical fee for the K1, that goes to the doctor. For Trinidad the current fee is $124.00 USD

No the price changed I checked last week . The embassy site has outdated information . The good thing is they accept the ttd equivalent as well .

So embassy has the case now just waiting for them to contact my fiance. Hoping this week. Does it happen that fast? The hard copy I got said he will be contacted then to follow next steps which is what you said. Can we do that and schedule interview prior to him getting packet or should wait till they contact him?
