Hello all,

So I received my Visa at the end of January and entered the US on the 3rd of February. So been here almost 3 months now.

Today my wife got a text message that our USCIS case has been updated. I thought that was rather odd...we did just send in an address change for her since we moved...but I just gave it to the post office yesterday...so I don't think they have it yet.

So I went online and checked the USCIS case number and it says:

"Department of State Sent Case to USCIS For Review"

So it seems like my case was sent back from NVC? Why would this happen? I have my SSN but have yet to received my green card (was going to call today actually to ask about it).

Is this something I should worry about? Because I am kind of worried now.

This is the third Canadian CR-1 case that this has happened to (under review months after successfully entering the country). I really don't know what's going on but it's odd that these cases are all Canadians. I'm hoping it's just some technical glitch. Going to see if I can find the other cases and post the links here - you probably need to contact one another and find out what's going on.

Can see someone else has posted - there is also a German case too.

Here's the other Canadian

Would be interesting to see if there is a common thread to the cases. Same POE? Same date of entry?

The other two cases were much longer after PoE. Hopefully in my case it isn't something else.

I wanted to call them later today to ask about Green Card production...but now I am scared to haha.

I am also worried that this case update will some how mess up my green card.

I got a similar email notification this morning.

Your Case Status: Post Decision Activity

On April 19, 2016, the Department of State sent us your case, Receipt Number LINxxxxxxxxxx, for review. We are reviewing it, and will notify you by mail when we are done. Please follow any instructions in the notice. If you move, go to www.uscis.gov/addresschange to give us your new mailing address.

I'm a Brit, but was living in Canada for the whole IR1 process, interviewed in Montreal Jan 5, and entered the US at Sweet Grass MT on Jan 15 this year.

I haven't received the real green card yet, so I'm kinda hoping this just means they're finally getting around to printing it.

So similar to me then...so I guess a mistake of some sort. Maybe it is them working on the Green card.

I heard there used to be a way to track your green card production but there isn't anymore.

Seems crazy that a card takes so long.
