How long after "Request for Evidence"?

Last month we got a "request for Evidence". I forgot to check two boxes. I filled it out and sent it back. When we check the site for the status of our I-129F now, we see this:

"On April 4, 2016, we received your response to our Request for Evidence for your Form I-129F, Petition for Fiance(E), Receipt Number WAC_____. Our California Service Center office will begin working on your case again"

Anybody have an idea how it will take before we get another response?

We received an RFE from USCIS on our waiver in February. We sent back a response and they received it March 25, 2016. We are still waiting for an answer. It seems USCIS is working a bit slow. RFE's used to get an answer within a couple weeks. Hoping to hear something very soon! Good Luck!

RFEs slow things down about 2 weeks, and then generally your forms start cranking along again. Hang in there!

Depends on the individual adjucator. Some may work on the RFE case once they are finished with the case in hand. Some may wait until the end of the week or the end of the month.

Some may wait until the first Tuesday after a Full Moon. It all depends...usually 2-3 weeks.

exactly lol

I watch the waiver updates and immigrate2us. It looks like USCIS does work in batches. No one will hear a word and then all at once (usually on a friday) a group of cases will get approved, RFE's etc.

@soulstriker There were 2 boxes I forgot check the questions " Have you ever been convicted of Domestic violence?" and "Have you ever been convicted of Homicide, murder, manslaughter, panda trafficking, etc?". Fortunately, I was able to check __ NO for both of these.

Ok, thanks everybody for the responses, it sounds like we are close just have to wait. I'm in China now so I'm checking the status everyday. For some reason they didn't email me with the ROE or NOA1 but all the documents are being sent to a family members house in USA.

Seems like this is the appropriate thread to ask this question. They received our RFE on the 6th and today is exactly two weeks and I'm anxious!

Does anyone know if the website will update the status after the review or do I need to wait for the letter to come on the mail?

Hi Marriwilljust,

It's weird cause my Finace received a letter yesterday via post saying we have been approved after our RFE since March 11 but on the website, it still shows RFE received and no email confirmation either to confirm this. Called USCIS and same update on the website.

Not sure if I should be excited or not at this point.

Has this happened to anyone????

By the way, been on this journey for almost 15 months! Crazy...?
